A nice walking and picnic spot. Engineering wise a remarkable location. Unfortunately rain started so had to cut short the visit. Pay and display car parking with no issues with card payments. SWMBO remembers coming her as a child as a picnic spot so nostalgia as well.

Visited the locks on recommendation from a friend, I've never seen anything so intriguing before. Parking was easy, pay at machine by contactless. Walk left from the car park to bottom long, it's downhill and flat or walk right towards top lock and the cafe. Spent a lovely couple of hours here, would definitely recommend

Was in the area for work, so took a run down to the locks, great walking, running, cycling route defo worth a look if you are in the area.

We parked in the tp car park and walked to the Bottom Lock, walking back to the Top Lock Cafe. A good four miles of easy walking, chatting to locals, enjoying flora and fauna. The only reason its not five stars is that the parking pay system is very poor - CCard machine did not work - Phone machine was also cash machine, but with no instructions!

We visited on a very hot sunny day and walked a total of about 5 miles round trip. It was really nice. We got to speak to lots of people on the barges and on the locks which made the visit interesting. We'll definitely be back but maybe when it's not quite so hot!

We had a lovely walk along the canal past the locks & managed to see dome boats coming in & out of the locks with some volunteers from canal & River trust helping, we stopped off in Hatton cafe & enjoyed coffee & cake,

Great place to come and walk the dog.
You have parking here but you have to pay.
Nice walk a little muddy in places.
There is a cafe on route.

Wonderful place for a walk in all weathers as good pathway, lovely views and cosy cafe on route for inside or outside eating.

We spent a morning at Hatton Locks and were lucky to see a canal boat going through the locks. Car parking reasonable charge.

Walk alongside the canal on a wide path that is picturesque. This is a huge flight of locks, but the ones at the top are the most popular. There is a good cafe where you can purchase food and drink with some picnic tables, and it is great to watch the boats. A lovely place to sit outside in the summer, with lots going on, and a good place for a walk in the winter.

Can you stay overnight in the car park in a Camper Van/Motorhome as parking charges appear to be for 24 hours.

I would think that you would be better to park elsewhere, as it's only a small car park. You could enquire at the Hatton Arms, then do a walk along the canal from the opposite direction.

How long is the walk frkm one end to the other and are there any benches to sit nearby.

From the Park and Pay you can easily access the canal path/walkway and locks not far from the Cafe.
From the access road leading from the car park you can turn right, past the Cafe/ Volunteer Lock Attendant's booth and then it is only a short walk with benches available along side a few locks. Down the other way it is a much longer path with many more locks to see, but again there are some viewing/resting benches to sit on.
Each lock and gate is pretty similar so if you were looking to limit the amount of walking required the top end should be enough to give you a good idea of how they all work, especially if there are canal boats moving through them.
Well worth the visit.
