Maintenance of the place is awful. There is no trash can in sight, and people have thrown trash, including undergarments all over the place. Why is it so hard for people to take ownership in keeping their surroundings clean. It is nat that bad a climb, but if you are not in shape, it will be daunting. The falls is pretty good, except for the litter thrown everywhere. Extremely disappointed !

Steep steps around 200 odd ones. Since it was a rainy season, the steps are slippery. Not suitable for aged people and small kids. But the view was awesome. Not sure if it's worth during summer season.

It was such a nice experience in my life. It was worth to see after climb down that 200 steps. Must all go and enjoy it.

The kiliyur falls has a good view for photography but provides a disappointing experience . We need to scale down 200 steps to go down. In some stretch there is no hand rail and have risk of falling. Steps are little big which makes it difficult to climb and step down. Few areas connected with steel ladder which is poorly maintained. One snacks shop in between occupies half the space in the walk way. No proper approach in the falls to take bath, neither they have protection to stand and take bath.Slippers rocks and no fall protection. Entire falls is occupied my boys and men and not suitable for ladies to take bath. Its a total men's world. However one good thing is that the falls looks awesome with step by step flow of water and the natural scenery you can view while going through the steps. Can visit once . But for a family it will definitely be tiresome and disappointing. Authorities need to provide proper hand rail and fall protection

Too much crowd. Some regulation of crowd must be done. We didn't have enough place to walk near the falls.

Safety Concerns are neglected here. There should be board stating the exact number of steps with the inclination angle as they are extremely dangerous if not known, and fitness requirements as many fit people also will find this exhausting and risky, believe me this comes from a person who served defense environment and training.
The iron stairs are narrow and fragile, stone stairs are too steep-sharp- also slippery around the water area. More over getting to the car park itself is an adventure as it's a narrow steep single car lane, even first gear pick up is difficult as the turn is narrow filled with people walking and road has craters. Go there only if u have a patient, courageous, skilled driver, or a vehicle like Thar (in slim figure)that can pull up. The parking management can also be improved with walkie talkie to manage the in and out vehicles in this narrow lane. A medical room should be organized for all ages due to the accident prone stairs and steep climb up and down as getting an ailing person to hospital will be more challenging and it might be after death.
The falls is nothing extraordinary, infact risky. There are better falls managed well in this country.

Small waterfall. You have to go down more than 200 steps only to see a small waterfall with people sitting inside it and not ready to come out. It was so crowded that we didn't even have a place to stand properly. And we were with our 20-month-old baby. So it was not worth all the effort.

Nice place except for the 200 steps one way. other than that we had good water flow luckily during May as there were rains over the last week.. a must visit place provided you love to climb 400 steps up and down. people say water levels are less in off season.. so better check with locals before going.

Very small water falls and very risky steps. Taking bath is very risky as even a small slip would be a major problem. Most importantly you have to climb 200-250 odd steps which are very tricky as it is very difficult to climb up than going down. Snacks there is very costly

Paid a visit, unfortunately during a weekend. Realised this place is a favourite among nearby locals as well and guys pour in to take bath etc. There are good amount of steep and narrow step way to be climbed down. With the unmasked and excited crowd, this could become an uncomfortable place for many. The falls down was pretty ordinary during Dec with many trying to get their share of the water splashing down. In shot, if you love a short trek and choose a less crowded day, probably can enjoy it.

Is there Auto Service near falls...?
Is there water in the falls...we have planned to visit by mid of November...?

You can hire autos from yercaud on to and fro basis but pretty expensive. There will be a small trickle in November. It's not worth visiting especially with the very steep climb involved down involved. Skip it.

When I visited the fall in May the fall was absolutely dry. May be after Mansoon water is expected.

Hi..I visited Ki liye Falls last month when there was no water at all. As informed to me by the local people we can see waterfall starting october.
In fact waterfalls depend upon rains..So judge on the basis of rainfall in Tamilnadu these days.

Yes you can park your bike at the top and hike down the stairs.
