從西天尾圓圈同步上山，花費約2.5小時到達南少林寺，在寺內享用一碗平安麵，時值3月可到附近盛開的油菜花田享受春天的氣息，田間蜜蜂穿梭在花朵間採蜜，非常享受

Der Shaolin Tempel ist sehr abgelegen in den Bergen. Mit dem Taxi aus der Stadt erreicht man den Tempel fuer ca. 60 RMB. Der Tempel ist sehr gut erhalten. Der Eintritt ist Frei, Die Shaolin Show auch...selbst die Snacks vor dem Tempel sind billig ab 5 RMB zu haben, absolut topp fuer eine Touristenattraktion und ganz anders also wie man es sonst zum Teil in China Kent. Definitiv ein Tipp und keine Abzocke

The temple is fairly big and very well maintained. Maybe too well maintained, to the point that it doesn't even seem to be an ancient temple. The photos displayed about the life in the monastery are very interesting though and also the road to get to the monastery is very beautiful to follow. I can't wait to get there with my motorbike!

We were taken to visit the temple while on a business trip. The drive up is beautiful, through the wooded mountain side.
There are some amazing, large statues in the temple and some excellent pictures of the monks, learning martial arts etc. Some English translations would have been helpful.
Peaceful location and sense that it is still a living temple. As always, loved the smells of incense and occasional sound of bells.
It was interesting to note the difference in attitude to age. In the west, we value the patina of age but here everything, especially the statues are very new looking. You can make your own mind up which you prefer but be prepared.
I have been to temples with a greater sense of age and spirituality but if you are in Putian, definitely worth the visit,

Cuando llegas quedas deslumbrado por la arquitectura. Nos dieron una exhibición de kung fu y fue asombrosa. Me impresionó mucho ver a los niños con sus cabezas rapadas como en las peliculas. El templo es hermoso. Tomar en cuenta que no se puede entrar, solo te dejan ver desde la puerta. Hay que respetar cundo estan orando. Es un lugar tranquilo. Mejor preguntar si se pueden tomar fotos.

We got a taxi for 120 RMB from our hotel and they waited for us up there as taxi's are not readily available on the way home. Taxi
Driver also assisted us from the gathering of people trying to sell us things on entry. Loved the temple, well worth the trip. There is a lovely souvineer shop in the temple with reasonable prices. One hint is to go to the bathroom before you arrive as the bathrooms are "traditional" and not a pleasant experience. Well worth the lovely drive.

As many Asian temples, this place is peaceful.
While you visit, it's easy to see the monks practicing martial arts, praying or meditating.
I was amazed (in a good and honest way) of the kids -monks actually- that are being trained as little warriors. They can easily kill you five times before you touch the floor.
Indeed is quite far, but if you speak Chinese or go with Chinese speakers it worth the visit. When and where do you have the chance to visit a Shaolin temple?

Our wing chun group of 8 students stayed in Fuzhou, so the drive to Putian was about 2 hours. Half way through Putian there is a traditional gateway at the start of a road called Shaolin Road. From there it is about a 30 minute drive up the Mountain to the Temple. We were very lucky as the Monks were conducting a Silk Road Forum with heaps of Paparazzi. We met the head Abbot fro Australia and the head Abbot from Shaolin Temple. They were very happy to have photos with our group. The Temple itself has some interesting history. The Abbot invited us to stay for Lunch, but due to our schedule we had to unfortunately decline. Definitely worth the trip if you are in Fujian Province.

The restored South Shaolin temple gives one an idea of how the martial arts exponents live their lives ... secluded from the madding crowd, close to nature, free from hustle and bustle city life. The view from the mountain top is amazing and the drive up was very scenic and refreshing.

中國少林寺的興建，河南登封的嵩山少林寺是第一座；而現存另一座是位於泉州清源山餘脈東嶽山下的泉州少林寺(也稱南少林寺)。我是和三位友人結伴由廈門福聯飯店包租一部私人轎車出發、往泉州作一日遊、先到泉州的承天寺－開元寺－清源山－少林寺；當天再回到廈門。
我個人曾早在1999年12月也去過河南的嵩山少林寺、嵩山少林寺是少林武術的發源地，周圍山巒環抱、峰峰相連、錯落有致，造訪泉州南少林寺一覽現況、已和史書的記載差異很多，而現存的泉州少林寺的規模，僅是早期泉州南少林寺的一小部分。沒有河南嵩山少林寺的整體宏偉、氛圍也沒有所想的好，以文化古蹟而言只是平平沒有較特別的地方，但仍有部分古蹟保留經過歷史的沉澱，這座古剎仍盡顯芳華。不過來到泉州一日遊去朝聖一下南少林寺也不錯。
