Hired a day narrowboat for day out with one of my daughters. The boat was excellent with lots of room, two burner hob to make hot drinks etc. A fridge, toilet and heater. The great advantage to the middle levels is that while everywhere else around was flooded the middle levels are pumped and no problem. Stopped at Benwick for lunch. There is a new cafe attached to the spar and great meals, snacks and cakes. The staff were really helpful and friendly. In the galley was also a packet of biscuits, milk and tea and coffee sachets. An excellent day

Lovely day out ! We really enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommend for young families. What could be better than cruising down the river in a narrowboat. Thank you

The whole day was an amazing adventure, they took us through the information needed, unrushed and easy to grasp, all correspondence was spot on, detailed and efficient. the boat was great, equipment was great. very clean and well kept. A perfect day out on the river. I highly recommend this company for your boating trips. lovely people and so kind and gentle. we will definitely be back again next year. the food they recommended was fabulous too. All delivered ready for our trip.

Our friend booked for a day trip yesterday, we are all in our 80s so it was a very enjoyable experience, the people who run the yard were very helpful, he made a suggestion couple of weeks before that there was a caterer of who could supply us with food which was very good.

Eight of us, all over 70, hired the day boat Adventurer last week. The boat was very well equipped for a day on the river and was easy to handle. Emily and Gary were very friendly and helpful with advice about where we could go and staying safe on a very hot day. One of our group felt unwell because of the heat and we phoned Foxboats to ask about local taxis to come and pick him up. Gary very kindly drove over himself and took him back to the car. Thank you so much.

Lovely friendly welcome when we arrived for our day on the river on a lovely narrowboat. Our 'captain' was given a very good tutorial on how to manage the boat and where to go for a day trip. The boat was great, very clean and so well equipped. It was nice to have tea, coffee and biscuits left for us. Thoroughly recommendable.

Lovely day on the waterways of Fenland took a leisurely trip to Benwick from March.
Thoughtful welcome pack including scrummy chocolate chip cookies, a Fox tote bag and tea- towels to dry up the china.
Youngsters were left speechless with seeing Kingfishers, fish, heron and dragonflies.
Gavin’s instructional tutorial was easy to follow, and we soon chugged down the NENE.
Thanks to Paula & team for a memorable day!

Exploring the Great Ouse from the comfort of our Fox Narrowboats. Enjoyed the holiday from start to finish. The boat was well equipped and we were given excellent information on our on our handover. We were given a warm welcome and the sevice provided was excellent.

Great part of the waterway network!
Not many other boats around, so we felt we had the place to ourselves! Fox Narrowboats were really helpful and very friendly, the boat (Platinum Fox) had everything we needed for the week and was easy to handle. Finding a mooring could be difficult ( with being on a river you can’t just stop anywhere like on a canal!)
Luckily Fox narrowboats are GOBA members, so there was plenty of mooring available on the River great Ouse. All in, a great holiday and boating experience. Would highly recommend.

Hello, i would like to know how much will it cost for 4 people for a 4 hour trip.

Our day hire is for full day self drive. Boats are available from 9.30am and should be returned by 6pm. The cost for the boat for the day is £175 Monday to Friday and £200 at weekends. This is for a maximum of 10 people. Minimum number required to hire is 2 adults.
