Entry fee is 1300 yen. A bit pricey . The flower fields were beautiful . Be prepared to walk a fair bit to see the fields . We were there at about two on a sunny day and the sun was blazing mercilessly down which made the walk unpleasant hence we only saw half the park . There was an ice cream and coffee shop there as well as another restaurant . Music and a live performance was great near the entrance .
Perhaps what will make the park better will be more covered walkways with seats and maybe music ?

2024/4/19 The weather was sunny. The temperature was high and there were many tourists in short sleeves and tourists from overseas in the park! There was a mini concert of Ecuadorian folk songs near the gate. The tulips were beautiful in the park. The other flowers have yet to bloom! Overall, the best time to see them is after Golden Week! Therefore, the admission fee was set at a low price of 1000 yen instead of the usual 1300 yen.

I visited on a day trip bus tour. It was a clear autumn day, and the salvia, mums, and cockscombs were in full bloom, making it a beautiful sight. The contrast of colors and the difference in shading made it enjoyable even from afar, with the Kuju Mountains in the background. There was also a Monarch Butterfly, sucking nectar.

九重連山のふもとにある公園で、大分県で人気の観光スポット。広い敷地内には花が咲き乱れ、温室や飲食のできる施設もある。時間を忘れて過ごせる。次回は春に訪れて、違った花を見てみたい。

สวนดอกไม้นานาพันธุ์ ที่จัดไว้อย่างลงตัว มีทางเดินระหว่างแปลงให้เข้าไปถ่ายรูปใกล้ๆดอกไม้ได้ ที่สำคัญห้ามพลาดใน glass house ซึ่งอยู่ด้านในสุดของสวน มุมถ่ายรูปสวย น่ารักมาก

日帰りバスツアーで訪問しました。秋晴れで、サルビアとマリーゴールドが満開で美しかったです。コスモスは台風や長雨のため、今一つで残念でした。九重連山は紅葉しはじめていました。

10月の日曜日に利用しました。入場料1300円（JAF等で100円引き）は高いなと思いましたが、公園は広く、売店もいろいろあって楽しめました。9月まではブルーベリーも食べられたのではないかと思います。季節によって楽しみ方は違うので、好きな花の季節を選んでいくのが良いと思います。

The quoted the following information from Japan-guide:
The park is difficult to reach by public transport. From the closest train station, Bungo-Taketa Station, it takes about 30 minutes and 5500 yen to get there by taxi. A cheaper alternative is to take a bus bound for Nagayu Onsen from the station to Kuju-machi (510 yen, 25 minutes), from where a taxi to the park costs about 2000 yen.
I agree that driving should be a better option to this place.

I think there is barely any as the place is located in a highland which is cold in December.
