‪Torii Road, a series of red torii gates, is a sight to behold.
I felt there were so many international tourists.
It's about a 15-minute walk from the parking lot to the finish line by the sea.
I think it is a valuable tourist destination for people who are on social media because there are many photo spots.‬

‪The rows of torii from the Otorii on the mountain side down the slope to near the sea are impressive. This torii is a true bright red. It's not red. I mean 123, but when I walked there, I immediately got there.
It is a shrine with a short history (from 1955), so I think it is terrible compared to Fushimi Inari Shrine and others.
The road to get here is so narrow and curvy that you might think it was a one-way street. It's a road that makes drivers cry.‬

‪Despite the weekdays following the October holidays, the area was crowded with tourists.
The blue of the sea and the red of the torii are superb.
It was more moving than looking at the pictures.

One of the events is to throw it into the offering box above the torii (which is hard to get into).
I really enjoyed it.‬

‪It was my first visit ♪

Located by the sea, it was wonderful to see so many torii gates along the approach.

The parking lot is one way.‬

‪Visit on tour. Otherwise, it would be difficult to take public transportation. You have to follow a winding mountain road a considerable distance from the national highway. It is said to have been built not because of the so-called historical shrine, but because a white fox appeared at the bedside of the local Amimoto in 1955 and told him. It probably had nothing to do with tourism at first, but 123 torii were built in the 10 years from 1987, and it gradually gained popularity through reviews. It must have exploded in popularity as a good spot. Is this something to climb through the Little Torii from the sea and visit the main shrine? Since Mr. Amimoto built it, he must have wished for a good harvest, so he would go down the slope through the torii and pay his respects toward the sea. I thought about it. Also, above the Great Torii, there is a offering box.
Sounds like a blessing. Go towards the edge and you will see the beautiful sea. This view is quite something.
Since Fushimi Inari's Akatorii, the endless landscape has become a staple sightseeing tour menu item, but I thought I would soon get bored.‬

‪Be careful on the way here from Tsunoshima Bridge as the road is a little narrow in places. On the way, I saw the Abe Family Graveyard, where former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe rests, on Google Maps, so I stopped by there before coming here. When I arrived, there was a 300 yen parking lot. You can see almost the whole picture from the parking lot. I tried to get into the offering box above the torii gate, but unfortunately I couldn't get in... The red seal is placed in a prefabricated hut-like place. The torii gates that stretch all the way down and the coast are beautiful.
Thank you very much.‬

‪It's a photogenic spot that I often see on social media, and I went to see it for the first time.
Maybe because it was cloudy, it wasn't as good as I saw it on social media.
You should go on a sunny day.
There were a lot of tourists from Japan and abroad, but they didn't seem very happy.
Also, the shrine seems to have been made with overseas visitors in mind, as there were a lot of stone statues of cute characters scattered around, which made me wonder if they actually bring any good.
I think you'll enjoy it if you don't have high expectations.‬

‪Visited the 123 red gates that stand close all the way down to the viewpoint. All the way to the sea, very nice view. All the gates are donated by companies or private individuals.

‪It's a typical Inari shrine.

The torii gates continue from the sea, so if you take a photo from above, it will produce a beautiful photo like the ones you see in guidebooks.

It has become a tourist destination and is bustling with large buses and private cars, but you need to be careful as the roads on the way are narrow.‬

‪This was our first visit to Yamaguchi prefecture
and this was top of our list of must sees.

After changing trains three times from Shin Yamaguchi,
we arrived at the local station, together with a young
Vietnamese girl, who suggested sharing a taxi.

The driver warned us not to get too excited, as the shrine
was much smaller than we might expect from the pictures.
He suggested 30 minutes was probably adequate for our
visit, but we decided to reserve him for our return trip two
hours later.

Why people wax lyrical about this place is beyond me.
I tend to agree with our Aussie reviewer, that this is a
pale imitation of the magnificent Fushimijinja of Kyoto.
The tori are so fragile in comparison. Its seaside location
gives it a photogenic charm, but it is not impressive.

In mid April, there were not many tourists, so our visit did
not exceed the 30 minutes suggested by our taxi driver.
Unfortunately, there is little commercial exploitation of the
site. The restaurant was closed as it had run out of food. The
tiny snack bar sold us a couple of melon sodas and a portion
of takoyaki to keep us going until the return of our taxi.‬
