it is a good place to visit because Qila Mubarak (Punjabi: ਕ਼ਿਲਾ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ, Hindi: क़िला मुबारक, Urdu: قلعہ مبارک), is a historical monument in the heart of the city of Bathinda in Punjab, India. It is recognized as monument of national importance and maintained by Archaeological Survey of India.[1] It has been in existence from 1100-1200 AD in its current place and is the oldest surviving fort in India. It was here that Razia Sultan, the first woman to take charge of the Delhi throne was incarcerated on her defeat and dethroned.[2] The bricks of the fort date back to the Kushana pe

As i m localite here..i daily go to qilamubarak gurudwara sahib to take blessngs of shri guru granth sahib Ji .it is a wonderful place to visit.

One learns history through such monument, though little difficult to reach.

This is the oldest fort in India, constructed by Kushan Emperor Kanishka, sometime in 2nd Century. Later rulers made several changes/ additions to this massive fort, which also served as a jail for the only woman ruler of India (Delhi) Razia Sultana.

Historical place which is clean and there is now Gurudwara inside . Such properties should be saved as history .

Qila Mubarak is situated in the heart of city. This is the old quilla. One Gurudware is situated on the top of this quilla

The Quila Mubarak can be reached through the narrow bustling streets of Bathinda. Once inside, you will be mesmerized by its beauty and you will forget the bustling outside. It's an ancient fort with a lot of open space and totally tranquil. It is said to be built innumerable times in the history. It was here where Sultana Raziya was imprisoned by Malik Altuniya in the 13th century. She then married him and set out to reclaim the Delhi Sultanate with an enormous army. However, she was defeated in the war.
It is even believed that Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs stayed here for a short while. Thus, Gurudwara Qila Mubarak Sahib was built by Maharaja Patiala to commemorate the same. A new Gurudwara is also built here. The rest of the fort is in ruins and currently under repairs. It's a must visit for heritage lovers.
It is even believed that Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs stayed here for a short while. Thus, Gurudwara Qila Mubarak Sahib was built by Maharaja Patiala to commemorate the same. Enjoyed the visit to Gurudwara. It is very large in size and an important historical monumental site.

The quila Mubarak can be reached through the narrow bustling streets of Bathinda . But once inside the complex , one forgets the city.. it is wide open space with total tranquil.. There are two gurudwaras inside which cater to the soul .
