A few kilometres from Dibrugarh, Barbaruah maidams gives an insight to the history of Ahom monuments.
Maidam or royal burial places are similar to the pyramids of Egypt and were used to bury the king or the royal families or officers of the highest rank. Kings were buried with all his belongings i.e. clothes, bed, jewellery, utensils and servants too.

This is just a normal big play ground. This is a place where people play various sports like cricket, football and badminton.

I went there with my friends, played cicket, followed by football and badminton. After that as it was picnin we made foods and ate them.

The maidan, as we call in Hindi, is nothing special worth to be mentioned. It is along the National Highway 37 and is mainly used by the local community.

I wonder why this is placed here. It is small ground on road side. May be good for local community, but nothing special

There is nothing special but just an open field on the side of the highway.But it is not a tourist place and not so developed.

its just an open field, god knows why it has been placed on tripadvisor. Nothing such special about it.

It is an ancient place, very small, by the side of highway but not at all developed for tourist point of view. there is no tourist facility.
