We wanted to go to the Bay of the French because recommended by many people in the Mondello area. Too bad they forgot to tell us that it was closed due to landslide and bathing ban and therefore not open to visitors. We decide to take a tour in the surrounding area and on Recommendation of a resident, we head towards the Lighthouse in the nature reserve of Capo Zafferano built in about 1880. I state that it is impossible to swim being overlooking the cliff but, trust me, it is worth it!!
Unspoilt nature, breathtaking panoramic views and a silence that we all kind of need. For all that your imagination cannot do, there are photos that will tell you how poetic nature can be. Road passable only with motorcycles / scooters and bicycles because there is no possibility to turn around to go back. Unforgettable!!

Myself, my wife and my 5 year old daughter spent 1 week in this magnificent place surrounded by uncontaminated nature. The gulf is sheltered by the promontory and Mount Catalano and this allows you to swim practically every day, even when the wind blows in the area. You can get there on foot from the facilities in the area or park on the coast road (for a fee in the summer). Clean beach, clear and shallow sea (ideal for children). Excellent bar service, ideal for spending the whole day at the seaside. For those who prefer to be more comfortable, it is also possible to move on foot to the coves adjacent to the beach where there are concrete platforms and the seabed remains shallow. Finally, an afternoon walk to the lighthouse on the promontory...What more could you want...

Mare burrascoso, gabbiani, un faro abbandonato raggiungibile con una breve camminata e tante piante, tanta natura e tanta libertà. Una location adorabile.

Mare splendente in un contesto naturale mozzafiato. Rocce a strapiombo sul mare cristallino. Villette sparse qua e là che non infastidiscono il contesto.

Il luogo è meraviglioso così come le rocce che scendono al mare. Panorama e mare incantevole ma...troppa sporcizia. Fossi un siciliano mi vergognerei. Ho parlato con gente del luogo e mi hanno palesato grande malessere per chi viene in questo sito a fare picnic. Sono loro a lasciare sacchetti,piatti,bicchieri e vetri alla mercé del vento che trascina in mare tutto quanto. Una vergogna. Possibile che non si possa con dei volontari ripulire e sanzionare pesantemente i barbari?

Zona incantevole che risente dell incuria di chi ci transita o vive. Ville e villini costruiti sul demanio pubblico e spazzatura lasciata gratuitamente in giro alcuna si vede da anni abbandonata. Faro da vedere se si ha resistenza alle camminate o con moto....la macchina ci passa ma ne vengono anche in senso contrario ed è pericoloso fare marcia indietro su un lembo di strada a precipizio sul mare. Faro abbandonato e chiuso da cancellata...serve abilità a scavalcare.

Tre Piscne is a great place to swim. Went many times and the water was beautiful. Definitely one of our favorites on this trip.
