‪The temple is situated around 200-300metres from the main market. Lord Shiva's temple (kashi vishwanath).
Beautiful temple with attractive view of old buildings made up of woods. ‬

‪One of the best temple in the area, sources of water are very attractive in the temple as water falls from the mouth of gold polished cow and buffalo . You will have to cross around 40-50 stairs towards upward to reach the temple as it's situated around 100-200metres from main market Guptkashi.‬

‪A very nice place to visit. Has a lot of importance however pandas bother you a lot. Ways to temple is quite narrow. We were lucky to visit this place early in the morning and hence no traffic.‬

‪A lovely little temple with 2 mandirs- of Vishwanath and Ardhanareeswarar. There are 2 spouts with spring water gushing out, which the Pujari told us are from Ganga and Yamuna. ‬

‪we drove from guptkashi after our darshan of kedarnathji, we visited Sri Viswanathji temple. Deity of Sri Ardhanareeswara is also in the same complex. There is a pond in front of the temple with two sprouts on either side namely Ganga and Yamuna. The pond is not getting filled, the water gets drained to the ground. Looks like the local residents are facing water issues, lot of kids aged between 6-15 get small cans, gets water filled and takes them away. with so much history, feel really sorry looking at the the condition of our historical places. what the local governing bodies are contributing to maintain these places.......‬

‪This is one of the well known ancient Shiva Temples. As per mythology the pandavas, who were in search of Lord Shiva to clear their sin of killing their relatives, located Him here..Bhim spotted Shiva here in the form of Bhainsa. 2 water streams are present in front of Lord Shiva. They taste different though the distance between them is hardly 2 m. These streams are known as Ganga and Yamuna. They fall into a Kund called Manikarnika kund.
The temple has one "ARTHANARISWAR" temple also.
Over all it is a very good temple with lots of positive vibrations and satisfaction.‬

‪The temple is on a hill and requires a climb up of approximately 50-60 steps. It is located in the marketplace and is easily accessible. The temple has a compound where there is a Water Kund with the rivers Ganga and Yamuna flowing continuously from the sculptures of lion heads. The Ganga water is not used by the local people but the Yamuna water is used by locals for domestic use. The temple has a mythological significane of the Pandavas who came here to seek the darshan of Lord Shiva. However, Shiva hid himself. therefore the place got its name Guptkashi. The Shiv linga inside the temple is a miniature replica of the Kedarnath Temple. the architecture of the Temple is also similar to the Kedarnath Temple.‬
