‪Woodhall Spa is well worth a visit. The memorial is like many others - humbling. There is a pub where the Dambuster aircrew used to frequent, and the village itself has many signposted features. It is quite possible my dad was here during the war, as he service with the RAF. Who knows?‬

‪A very moving tribute to 617 Sqdn. Formed as the Dambusters, it is here that you realise that there were seven other major raids for 617. A tribute to the lost, immense heroes. Having stayed in the Petwood the night previously, a place to respect and shed a tear or two. A must see in this area !‬

‪Monument to the Dambusters‬

‪أغسطس 2022‬

‪This memorial is in honour of those who took part in the famed British Dambuster attack on German dams during the Second World War. The monument is shaped like a dam. The centre of the memorial features a slate slab in reference to the water flooding through a breach made by the dambuster bombs. The slate slab also contains the roll of honour for 617 Squadron, crest and battle honours are also engraved.‬

‪Probably the nicest small town in England‬

‪If I won the lottery I would move their. There are several good places to eat at and some excellent small shops, especially the bakers on the high street. If it rains do visit the Kinema where you can see the latest films at a fraction of the cost you would usually pay in larger towns. If you go on a Monday not all shops are open.‬
