My wife and I went to Scottish Highlands and Isle of Man. Our trip was fantastic! This was the experience of a lifetime! The tour guides, Angela and Jan, were excellent! The bikes were in great shape and almost new. We are already planning our trip next year with Edelweiss Bike Travel!

Highly organized and professional. Bikes were in great shape and well maintained.
The guides (Axel S. and Kurt F.) were great. They spent time to know us as riders and helped us improve. Both were helpful, attentive and personable. They were simply the best you could ask for.
The routes were everything you want to do in the time you have. Hotels were middle-class and comfortable with local flair. The food was amazing ( I gained 10 pounds).
One warning, pay attention to the “difficulty” rating on the tours. They mean exactly what they say. If you do one of the more difficult tours, you should practice at home. Slow speed maneuvering competence is key.
*important - get the insurance that covers everything. Don’t cheap out. You will appreciate the freedom to ride a little harder :)

OMG ! What a wonderful experience! Myself and My son's father-in law (our 1st Edelweiss tour), joined my brother in-law (His 7th Edelweiss tour.) For the Viking Experience.
It was magical! A larger group (we had 3 guides 2 rode and 1 drove the van.)
Gorgeous scenery. Each guide lead the morning meeting and each guide drove the support van. They were ALL knowledgeable and brought a different perspective to the experience.......too much to share
I did crash (ALL user error) on the 2nd to last day. I had to ride in " the seat of shame" (rode in the support vehicle), for last day and a half. (rode behind Ted to get to a safe area to establish a plan).
Riding in the support vehicle was 1 of my highlights! I got to talk to the guides, and we shared our life experiences, and I learned their perspective's
Lead guide Ted....Natural leader very experienced in life (Slightly intimidating) I would love to hear his life story!
Eugene wonderfully enthusiastic (engineer) that Loves motorcycle riding....I think he would guide for free (I should introduce my daughter to him .....maybe not.)
Thomas....maybe not as experienced guide but his energy, willingness to do anything to make our experience better and his daily flip sheets "world class" (Typesetter by trade)
All of the participants were welcoming and excepting of everyone else. All had different levels of experience and skills. (Brian and Anita come to Omaha for the college World Series ....I have tickets). We will go to dinner and share life stories!
Great Group.
Motorcycle enthusiasts are a wonderful fraternity!

The 12 days we spent riding in Norway were spectacular. Our three guides did an excellent job of scheduling each day and keeping us organized. The bikes were in great shape and the roots taken were most enjoyable. Hotels were all good and meals were excellent. This was my second Edelweiss tourand both of them were exceptional.

We did the Best of Europe motorcycle tour.First of all there were to many bikes.15 bikes not including two guides.Motorcycles were not well maintained.The guides had a hard time keeping riders in two groups,people switching during the day.Some riders were not experienced enough to be doing the ride.The bikes did not come with there own gps.The guides had some issues with road closers and had to reroute with there own phone gps.These did not show them that the road was closed.Little things that were aggravating during the day.To much driving in small towns,to get to a place to take a picture and then continue on.I would check to see how many bikes are going on what ever tour you choose.I myself will not go back and do any tours with this company.

Great Trip, guides were very good and knowledgeable of the areas toured. Hotels were great with the exception of one hotel in the Lake Lagano area.
Scenery was fantastic. I was on the "Ultimate Alps Tour" and would do it again. Bikes available are well maintained, fairly new and worked well. Great Experience, DO IT !

We had a fabulous trip we had in Norway. We enjoyed our guide Lars for his thoughtful planning and drone videography. Thank you for your motorcycle tours! This was our 3rd and would highly recommend.

We booked the Viking tour in Norway and the Best of Europe tour for August 2024. We read that this company won the Trip Advisor motorcycle tour company for 2024. They charge a premium price but we felt we would get a premium tour company so it would be worth it. We were wrong!
We have done other motorcycle company tours in the past and this one is the worst.
I cant express how strongly I would advise against booking with this company.
Let me list the issues we had.
1) The motorcycle we rented had a badly worn back tire and we had to request it be replaced before we would ride it. On our second tour the service engine came on every time we started the bike. Our bike was not the only one that had issues. One bike had starting issues so the gave him a jump start kit that had to be used almost every time he tried to start the bike. This caused delays for all riders.
SOLUTION-Have the the bikes properly maintained by a qualified motorcycle mechanic not just looked over by the guides.
2) The groups were over booked for the number of guides. 15 motorcycles with two guides on both tours. It was impossible for the guides to keep control of such a large group. We lost riders and even the guide once, way too much time stopped and looking for all the riders. They even expected one of the guest riders to be the sweeper in the back to help keep the group together. We didn't pay a premium price so we could work for you. More delays.
SOLUTION- Don't be so greedy! Book smaller groups or at least have enough guides to properly support and guide the groups. GPS's for the tour guides and even on each motorcycle would be a big help.
3) To many inexperienced riders that caused delays and issues that held up all the other riders. On both tours we had riders who crashed and a few who dropped their bikes. At one point they altered the ride to accommodate the less experienced rider. So the rest of the riders suffered due to one or two riders. Again more delays.
SOLUTION-Get to know the riders and group them according to their riding abilities and styles.
4) The guides did request the riders split into two groups, one guide with each group of 7-8 bikes but they did not give good directions as to how we were to split so it was a free for all as to who was in which group. Very confusing.
SOLUTION- Give good directions about who will ride in which group and in what order. This should be maintained through out the tour for better control.
5) We had scheduled stops along the way each day but often the coffee/lunch stops were at a place that wasn't even opened when we arrived. If they were opened they were often small and it was difficult with such a large group.
SOLUTION-Know the stops and ensure they can accommodate the large group and are open.
For these reasons I felt compelled to advise against using this tour company.
On the other hand I would say that the Hotels we were booked into, were very nice. Most were 5 star and great locations. The tour routes were amazing and the roads were in great shape. Norway is a beautiful country for riding! The roads in Europe were great with amazing scenery that did not disappoint.
On our next motorbike tour we will NOT be booking with Edelweiss. How they managed to win Motorbike tour company of the year is beyond me. Sadly, speaking from experience! Don't do it! There are others to choose from.
We have done other motorcycle company tours in the past and this one is the worst.

The best of Europe tour in Aug 2024.We did this two days after our Norway tour with Edelwise.The same thing happened.To many bikes for the Guides to control.Motorcylces not very well looked after.One bike had to be boosted a few times during the trip.The R1250 RT I drove,the maintenance screen popped up after 350 klms.Rear Trunk would not open with the fob.had to use the key every time to open.Small things but aggravating.The turn around on these bikes is to quick and they do not get the proper attention after each tour.We thought it would be better than the first tour but we were mistaken.I will not travel with this company again.We had two guides and 16 bikes.To many bikes.

This was my first riding on high land of the Alps of Europe (4-11Aug 2024). It was a very memorable tour with a long road, many curves and the beautiful sightseeing and adventure.
That was professional and very specifically organized by Edelweiss Team which held from the check safety bike for riders to the specific back up plan and assisted to lead on road during the HAT program.
I do appreciate everything for our lovely riding team and specially thank you to our professional tour leaders: Mr Markus, Ms Hanna and Mr Alberto. I have a very grateful tour experience of riding with all of you.
See you next trip 2025.
