Arthur's Seat has a new skyway, known as the Arthur's Seat Eagle. The Arthur's Seat Eagle runs from the top of the Arthur's Seat ridge to the base of the mountain. As you descend, you will get a marvelous view from the gondola over the Bay and the city of Mornington. The Arthur's Seat Eagle is much better, and safer, than the old cable-car.

Visited Arthur’s Seat Eagle and haven’t been for a very long time. Todays experience was wonderful. Staff very friend.y and accommodating as l had my elderly mum with us. The gondola was slowed down for my mum to get on and off and the ride was smooth and we also had a gorgeous day weather wise. More people should visit. We will be going back soon to take our overseas guests.

I went in for coffee and pleased to find that I could buy a vegan felafel wrap and cookies. Didn’t notice if there were other choices Available. The coffee was good, served in environmentally aware take away cups and the wrap was good too. This is a new facility with plenty of public conveniences and felt bright and airy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A slow gondola that gives you a Birds Eye view of the coast along the Mornington Peninsula. Takes 15 min each way. Ample parking. Not much else to do- we went because it was too cold to swim

Having been on many Gondola lifts throughout the world, there is only one other (in Albuquerque) that would have rated better. By a very long way, this particular gondola is far superior to any other gondola ride offered in Australia or New Zealand, and at a remarkably (comparative) low cost, why not do it. As one travels up (or down) passengers are treated to wonderful bush and coastal scenery at a very leisurely pace. Very friendly assistance is provided by the staff who also ensure that there is an equal proportion of ticketed and returning passengers. Absolutely brilliant customer service.
The greatest problem associated with this wonderful attraction is the severe lack of car parking.

Fabulous fun for kids. Open air but very safe cable cars with a great view. Young kids love the sights and experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. unreservedly recommended.

Went as a family, it was a little pricey for me but it was a great day and worth doing. Kids enjoyed it, 11 yr old said he was glad we went.
Great views. The cabins are very clean, the whole setup is in top condition

Waited in line 1.5 hours to get on gondola. Not a good experience.
8 person gondola and half the time only 2 people going up in it. Sometimes 4 but never full.
This is why the long wait. Coming down not so bad, about 45mts.
The area on top beautiful but spoiled by filthy public toilets, male and female. No garbage bins that I could see so people just dumped their garbage everywhere. Disappointed.
Brought ticket online hoping for an express pass but just had to wait.
In my opinion it’s better to drive up to the top of the mountain. Plenty of parking to be found

Very long wait times, 1.5hrs and this was for both ways. So 3 hours just waiting in a line….this definitely needs to be reviewed and addressed. Would be a much better experience if ticket numbers had a daily limit and even a timed/allocated schedule.
The price could also be less. Considering that you aren’t really in the gondola ride for long at all.
Take your own food as food is very expensive there.
Staff were great and very friendly.
Amazing views and scenery.

Despite visiting late on a Saturday in early September this was a real highlight to the day. Lots to see both on the way down and up giving a first time visitor to the Peninsula an idea of the area.
We parked at the top and in hindsight, and with time, I'd say park at the bottom as there are a number of walks to do at the summit.
We also chose an open car which lower much better opportunities for pictures...and to see a kangaroo on the way down.

Sorry but the answer now is probably a bit late. I have only just seen this. You can go up in the chair lift capsule and then walk down. I asked the same question at Arthur's Seat. But I was told it's a walk through scrubby land and a bit precarious. So we came back down in the chair lift only to find, we could have driven up by road and back again, which we did do after the trip.

I myself suffer from heights.
The cable cars are very safe.
Cable car is not as high as sky rail in Cairns.
May be you should check with you Doctor.

Hi,
We wiil be staying at a b &b at Arthurs seat in the first week of March will the chair lift be runnin? if so how busy is the chair lift during the week? we are looking at a Tuesday/Wednesday.
Is there a restaurant/cafe at either end of the ride and is it casual or more fine dining?

Cafe at top of cable cars very basic. There is a bar/bistro across road not sure of hours was closed at lunch time.
