Merece y mucho la pena la visita. Además el entorno es magnífico para pasar un estupendo día, tanto el parque como la restauración en el pueblo tiene mucho encanto.

El castillo y el pueblo, es muy bonito. Merece la pena cruzar el puente y pasear por la zona del castillo, también se puede subir y se ven unas vistas muy bonitas de La Coruña

Beautiful views of the Bay of Santa Cruz. You can walk right round the island in about 30 minutes, longer ifvyou stop to visit the castle & Gardens

A small islet off the town of Santa Cruz, connected by a wooden bridge.
As you come off the bridge, there's a useful map showing the various parts of the island.
There are parts of a 16th century castle & its walls, originally built by General Diego das Mariñas to complete the defensive system of Coruña bay. It eventually became a country house belonging to the family of the writer Emilia Pardo Bazán. Today, it is overseen by the town hall & is used by CEIDA, an environmental organisation with a library & various rooms for meetings & exhibitions.
In the gardens we saw a significant display of boards depicting Alexander von Humboldt's life & travels, with QR codes & descriptions in English.
Certainly worth a walk around the island for its lovely views. The grounds seem to be open from 0900 to 1400 Monday to Friday & on Saturdays 1100 to 1400.

Si estás cerca de Santa Cruz vale la pena hacer una visita a esta isla para conocer su castillo, que fue construido como defensa de la bahía de A Coruña en el siglo XVI.

Bonito lugar para tener una vista de la bahía de la Coruña. Se recorre la isla por fuera de la fortaleza en un momento y también se puede visitar el interior. Se encuentra conectada con una zona de restauración que permite después del paseo disfrutar de un descanso.

Agradable pequeña isla con una bonita fortificación, se visita rápido y se puede dar una vuelta a su alrededor.

Preciosas vistas y un entorno agradable. Precioso para dar un paseo. El puente que separa ambos lados es un encanto.

Fuimos por la tarde y no pudimos acceder, sólo cruzar el puente y bordearla por el exterior. Horario sólo de mañana de lunes a viernes.

La pasarela que comentas es para acceder a pie o en coche?

Es para acceder a pie, es un tramo cortito de pasarela hasta llegar al castillo pero se puede dejar el coche aparcado en la carretera general (que esta a menos de 5 min caminando). Hay un paseo bonito para recorrer y admirar el paisaje.
