We went here last Oct. 1, 2018 and there are only handful of tourists in the island. Maybe because it is Monday. Before riding a boat going to the island, you will have to buy and reload the card which will be used to pay for everything you buy in the resort. Don't worry if you have not consume it all as you can ask for refund once done with your trip. We tried the floating island and we had it for ourselves for about an hour before other tourists came. You can order food and drinks while chilling on the bean bags. It was very relaxing for us and far off better than working on a Monday. You can also try to jump off the boat and into the sea. They have life vests ready so it is not a problem if you can't swim. We ask the guy behind the counter of the floating resto bar to look over our personal things while we swim on the sea. They are trustworthy enough to not pry over our things so that's good. There are a lot of food choices on the resort so you can choose which one you prefer. We were just on a day tour so I'm not sure if it's worth your time and money to book a room here. Overall, our experience in the resort is one of kind and if I have a chance, I'd go back there again.

The place is dilapidated, looks like it was forgotten and mismanaged. You have to pay 400 per head for a round trip ticket , when you arrive at the place no one will assist you . It' s good that we decided to do a day tour only . The food is at it's worst and pricey. The shower area is dirty and stinky, we only stayed here for 2 hrs and decided to go back in town as soon as possible. There are far more better beach in Negros, no wonder locals are not recommending the island, this is only popular from people in the metro.

It was my birthday and for two years now, I've been wanting to visit Lakawon so we finally did together with my partner and our kid. But instead of a birthday celebration, I had the worst experience ever.
1. We still needed to pay island entrance fee even if we booked a room. P400/pax inclusive of RT boat and terminal fees.
2. Upon arrival, no one assisted us. It was a big island, and we didn't know where to go. We felt so lost.
3. Bamboo house I booked at 2500 per night looks like a shanty -- it was rundown, no locks, no doorknob, walls had open slots, no security at all. I had to carry my macbook and valuables the whole time for fear of our room being robbed. The floor was dirty, the beds were not made.
4. The bathroom, toilet, pail, bucket, sink - everything was filthy and water smelled like mud and poop. I literally didn't take a bath the whole time we were there.
5. The pochero we ordered tasted like paper, and for a dish worth almost P400, the bowl didn't have many ingredients in it. All the food was overpriced. I literally cried in front of the waiter out of frustration.
6. So many unfinished structures around especially at the beachfront, with the foundation already rusting and crumbling away.. what an eyesore!
I was expecting to experience good food, good customer service and a little luxury on my birthday since it is touted to be a luxurious island. But instead, what we had was a nightmare! Don't waste your time and money going here unless you want to experience hell in paradise.

Lakawon Island resort is a place where you can relax if you mind is stress. This place is very popular on every negrosanon because of its accommodating price.

Very near from Bacolod City and accessible by public ride. Organized boat ride. Staff are polite. Blue green water and picturesque bridge to the island. Would been good if I brought my swim wear and stayed for the night. bring camera and insect repelant, sunscreen as well

1hr travel from bacolod city. before going to the island you need to confirm your reservation at the office. you need to get a card which you tap it up with money and use it in the island instead of using cash.at that time floating bar tawhay was not available but last 2018 we were able to experience it, was very good view with the sunset and overlooking with the island. food is good but sometimes it takes a while to serve them. at the time we visited there there was still some construction going. all in the island is beautiful.

The place was a gem, I must say! It wasn't that crowded compared to other island resorts and the food was also delish although they're a bit pricey. I really enjoyed their Tawhai Floating Bar since the guests could really unwind while relaxing music is in the background. I love how the place gets so serene at night and you could just enjoy a night stroll at their boardwalk.

The island is majestic! It's untouched, and not crowded! It's like Maldives of the Philippines. They have a floating bar, serves drinks and food too! You can also jump from the L2 of the floating bar. Food is also not bad. They have a restaurant aside from the floating bar. What we loved the most is that nature in here is untouched. You can see both land and sea creatures. Its a great place to stay either with your partner, or with family.

The place is nice. Water is very blue. Sand is very fine but there were lots of seaweed in the shore. Cottages are big, but the thing you will be concerned with are your things though. Cottages are very open. We went here on a day tour. Food is a bit pricey but serving is big. Waiter said the food is good for 2-3 persons but actual serving is good for 4-5. The downside is the common shower rooms are far from the cottages.

Do they send you a booking confirmation? Cause I booked through their website and didn't receive anything. Only an email from PayPal stating the receipt of my payment. I emailed them already but no reply yet.

Hi, we’ll be traveling with 17pax, and wanted to know if its worth it to bring your own food, im aware of 50php corkage fee per head, but its there a limit of what food to bring? Where is the nearest market before going to lakawon island so we can buy some meats and seafood before then.

hi amir!a big yes its better to bring your own foods since that their foods is quite expensive and you can bring foods all you want as long as where you're comfortable to,before going to lakawon there's a public market along the bus terminal they called it "martesan paradahan" and there's a mercado there where you can buy meats and seafoods before you go to lakawon island! 👍😊have a nice trip! enjoy!
