This is an amazing tour. Company was good about making sure we got to the meeting point. Our guide Lisa was awesome and was very knowledgeable about the area. It was late December on a Friday and her all to our selves as no one else had booked her that day. Weather was good and walking around was easy. Got to see lots of stuff that would have been hard to just stumble on and got lots of info on why they do things they way they do. From maids on the street to the rental boxes that have 2nd hand figures for sale to manga stores and the dollfie dream shop it was all very cool. It was pointed out what was safe to go into and what was more "adult". It made it easy to go shopping on our own time after the tour and find what we wanted. She also took us to the best Maid cafe for real (they all claim to be #1) and got us setup with the customs and inter-activeness of the event that is the maid experience. Would have been a bit awkward with out a guide in the cafe. Fantastic tour and will do it again!

This is a great experience in Tokyo. Our guide Emi was lovely and very informative. If you want a tour with someone local make sure you confirm this with the company. Originally they had booked us to do a tour with a girl from Oz. Cafe at the end is expensive but it's all part of the experience!

My family booked a group tour with an English speaking French guide. She was great and accomodating. She recommended shops that were according to our interests and brought us to a maid cafe. It was a pleasant experience and definitely helped us on our 2nd day when we were on our own.

We booked the Akihabara tour, very different side of Tokyo. Very animated area and brought good souvenirs of these old games console like Sega. We love to see different sides of japanese culture. Our guide new the area very well and brought us to area we would not have visit by our own or found on the web.

Una vez realizado el tour, he de decir que después de haber realizado muchos por bastantes países, me quedé con la sensación de que son gente que lleva relativamente poco en esto, que tienen ganas de hacer las cosas, a destacar la gran actitud de nuestra guía Tamara, pero que bajo mi punto de vista, necesitan crecer un pelin como empresa.
Como podrían crecer, con algo tan básico como en publicidad, cuesta muchísimo encontrarlos por Internet, lo encontré por Civitatis, no por ellos directamente, nos lo tubo de decir la guía como se llamaban; y no tienen mapas o panfletos de su empresa cuando haces los tours, ni que tours ofrecen aparte por si te interesa algún otro, cosa que da mucha imagen y ganas enteros, bajo mi punto de vista., aparte de negocia hacia ellos.
Como siempre en estos tipos de tours, están bien, te enseñan la ciudad y más en un país que casi nadie habla ingles.
Lo dicho estuvo bien, pero creo que pueden crecer como empresa para dar una mejor imagen suya de marca.

Excellent tour, my son Max (23) and I were the only people on tour with guide Lisa.
A private tour then, with plenty of time to see around and act like geeks! Great Fun, highly recommended.

Very easy to book, great service by Akibaland Tours. Guide (nickname Sarah) spoke very good English, could answer a ton of questions, was very special to walk around with her, dressed entirely as a maid. We saw the small old electric town shops, entered secondhand minature shops, doll shop, retro game center, cosplay dress shop, and more. Highlight of course the maid café. Much better with a good guide than alone, there is so much to understand and learn about this world.
I’ve traveled to Japan multiple times, otaku culture was something I always found hard to enter as a tourist. With this help, I have seen a lot. Highly recommended!

Is this still an active tour service? I tried booking a trip and got no response for several months. I'm a little nervous giving my credit card information now.

I will be in Tokyo for 1 month and it would be great to join this tour for Akihabara.
I would like to come visit on July 13th (Wednesday) in the afternoon OR anytime on July 17th (Sunday).
I will be joining this tour by myself and I will be glad to join in another group if they allow it.

I had no problems signing up on their website. There will be a schedule of tours available as well. They also respond quite promptly to any queries - I had a few questions about the best way of getting to the meet-up point and they answered very quickly

I recommend you to visit Nagano. There is Matsumoto Castle（National Treasure of Japan) ,and can see cherry blossoms on your want season.
Search for "kai-ryokan" using Google.
I hope you'll have a great holidays in Japan.

At first, we can arrange a tour for you if you want to join another group.
And then I think you might need one or two days for seeing Akihabara.
We also have a private tour and are able to customize the tour as you like.
Please ask us about the private tour via email.
Next, you are able to apply for the tour on Internet.

The reservation page on the Akibaland website lists Gurruto, Maid Clothes, and Night Cruse as options. What are the differences?

Maid Clothes and Night crusing are NOT available and will be released in the near future.
Grutto is the standard Akihabara Tour.
It costs 3,000yen per person.
It's the most popular tour among our tours.
Our tour requires two or more participants.
It means we don't tour a one person basically.
If a guest take our tour alone, it costs 10,000yen.
