Myself and my partner chose this activity as a fun way to see some sites and experience Tokyo. It took effort and time to get out international driver’s license and the cost of the experience itself was expensive. I have 2 main issues with this company.
1. We paid for a 2 hour tour that only went for 1.5hrs
2. The guide was extremely rude and then wanted a tip at the end.
The tour is meant to go for 2 Hours. We booked at 1pm and waited an extra 10mins for a couple that didn’t show. We took a tour around Tokyo bay and Tokyo tower but were back before 2:40pm which was more than half an hour prior to our finish time. For an expensive tour this was very disappointing.
The tour guide was a young American woman who never introduced herself or asked our names even though there we 2 of us. She made it seem like we were a bother to her and couldn’t wait for the tour to be finished. For a seemingly fun experience she could have acted like she didn’t hate having us there. She was good at driving and directing us but for a sightseeing tour she never pointed things out or stopped for pictures. At the end of the tour she tried to be chatty and then asked for a tip. We obviously declined
The onesies were also worn out and many were broken. In saying that the karting itself was a fun experience that we will likely not get again.
Choose another tour group to go with!

I hardly bother to ride reviews but I feel that I have to write this as sorta public service.
We were extremely excited about this go-kart ride and made effort and time to get our IDPs so we could join this seemingly very fun ride. We’d booked this under Voyaging.
We were told that this would be a “short ride” instead of the 2hrs as we postponed it from 1pm to 3pm due to heavy rain (honestly can’t imagine go-karting in heavy rain)
During our go-kart slot at 3pm, we were told that another couple will be joining and we will wait for 10 more mins. At 3:10pm, we were led (walked about about 5mins) to a small garage where they started pulling out cars, preparing for us (just us both for the whole ride) and showing us how the karts world. By the time we started the ride, it was almost 3:30pm.
We found the guide (a young Caucasian lady) to be very brusque and somewhat rude. Her attitude was of a “I can’t wait to be done with this man”. She told us to pose for pictures before the drive starts and we asked if she could use our phones. She retorted with a “Don’t worry. I don’t want your pictures for myself. I’ll send you later.” We were like okayyy.
Once we were on the roads, she was driving very fast and we were struggling to keep up. Keep in mind there were only two of us on this ride and it’s our first time. We were not give the opportunity to try the karts out slowly. It was instantly on-the-roads with real cars and huge buses everywhere. There was a major 4-ways road intersection when the guide zoomed past and my partner in front of me turned too (we were told to drive single file) but I saw the traffic light turned red so I stopped. It was a scary moment. Imagine many cars driving around and crossing. When the light turned green and I followed, the guide was waiting. She was pissed off and told us that we have to drive at a minimum of 50KM/hr and to make sure we are all one car length from each other. Otherwise, she will take us both back immediately. Chastised, we bit our lips and tried to drive better ie. drive as fast as we can whilst trying to keep to a one car length space. It was, in my humble opinion, very very dangerous. First and foremost, I don’t think these karts are made to drive at speeds >50KM/hr. Keeping to one car length and driving at such speeds means there is a high chance of collision. The brakes of the go karts were really really bad. Each time we braked, there was a horrible screeching sound.
There was no introduction of sights eg: this is the Tokyo tower. It was just driving for 30mins and we were back in the garage by 3:55pm.
All in all, I think it is a pity given how excited we were and how much fun this could be. I’d strongly recommend you joining a different company for this tour.

We had a great time on dusk and really enjoyed the night time drive across the bridge. A couple of tips.
1. The location is quite hard to find. If the taxi drops you off at the address it looks like a small apartment building on a corner. That is the correct building. You may see a little kitchen with a glass door and uber eats sticker on the glass. Next to that is a door with a staircase. Go in and up. You will see the waiting room.
2. When we arrived no one was there. The previous tour was a bit late. Take the time to look at the costumes and decide what you want to wear.
3. Make sure you have international drivers licenses. They will be checked.
4. We did have one kart that was playing up. My daughter was driving it and at a stop she said "hey dad, my kart seems like it is going to stall". Luckily, I switched with her. Not long after, in heavy traffic, I was last in the pack so it took people a while to realise. I managed to get the kart off the road by myself but couldn't start it. If she had been driving it the situation would have been a whole lot more stressful. I did see another review said something similar had happened before. Not sure if it was the same kart. My recommendation would be to ask them if any have been playing up and make sure you allocate to someone who can handle the situation.

The staff were very friendly and always on the look out for you on the road. The driving experience was awesome and we got to see some amazing views. The drive was scary at the beginning but slowly you will get used to it. It was like driving a car. We booked for 3 hours and got to drive in the daylight to night time and see the city lights in Tokyo and Shibuya crossing. Overall I will definitely do it again.

Purchased this tour for 2 of us via Voyagin and it took less than 24 hours to get verification and a confirmation email (do note that there's a 7 day cancellation period). The location is easy to find and was easy to get to using the subway from our Ginza hotel. We checked in just before our 2PM appointment and since only 2 other people were scheduled at this time as well we quickly went into an introduction on using the go kart etc. The whole tour took close to 2 hours and we had so much fun driving over Rainbow Bridge. These go carts don't have a seatbelt so at first it was a little frightening as you make turns at a fast speed but once you get used to it you'll have a blast. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Tokyo as it lets you see some parts of the city you may not have thought about. The tour guide spoke just a little bit of English but we had no problem communicating and he was vigilant in ensuring everyone kept up and no one was left behind. The best part is that he had an iPhone X and took so many pictures of everyone and at the end of the tour he transferred them wirelessly to our phones (the photos were really high quality).
Do yourself a favor and get an international driving permit and book this if you plan to visit Tokyo. You'll have the best time.
Lastly, you might consider wearing sunglasses since you'll be driving at fast speeds over public roads and you'll likely have wind hitting your face which might bother or dry out your eyes.

Fantastic service and really nice staff and driver. We were late for our first drive so they kindly allowed us to re-book for the following day without any problem. It even poured down rain and they offered to give us store credit for next time. We decided to drive that day anyway and the driver happily took us out despite the rain. The driver was particularly nice, stopping twice in two different sightseeing areas and took photos for us both with our camera and his (he sent the photos that day). Would definitely go with these guys again. The staff even gave my partner one of the raincoats as we left. Thank you Maricar!

Wow wow wow!!! What an experience! Absolutely bonkers! Where else in the world can you get dressed up as Mario and Luigi and drive a go kart around an amazing city seeing the sights. Such fun and the guide was very attentive looking out for the whole group all of the time. One guy had problems with his kart so another guy met us somewhere to switch the karts so we could all carry on. Great fun and really good price. Saw parts of Tokyo we then went back to and got some amazing footage on our go pro. An absolute must for anyone coming to Tokyo! We were booked for a day when a typhoon hit and the weather was awful so we contacted them by email and they rearranged our day no problem. So worth the money and a great 2 hours zipping round with people stopping to take photos and waving all the time. Amazing!!!!

What was supposed to be one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo got totally ruined by faulty material and very unempathetic management leaving my wife with a trauma for karts. Let me explain further.
After a good start we started to drive up the bridge crossing Tokyo bay, a road with no emergency lanes or other ways to get off like a pedestrian lane. Halfway up my wifes vehicle stopped but being at the back the guide only noticed on the other side of the bridge. This left my wife with a stalled kart (battery problems allegedly) during rush hour. You can imagine she had a very rough time up there. After finally getting off of the bridge with a frequently stalling vehicle all by her own she was so shaken she wanted to stop driving all together. We talked to our tour guide but he was clueless for what to do. After a phonecall with the manager he offered the option of a different route back to the garage because we did not want to take that bridge a second time. We felt there was no other option. We had to drive back.This meant a 45 minute drive around Tokyo bay through rush hour traffic. Needless to say that was not a pleasant drive.
Back at the garage we told this to the manager and his reaction was the final straw for us. He did not offer an apology but casually commented that this sometimes happens and that it can't be helped. The other couple with us got another tour to recompense them for having half of their tour cut short. We got neither an apology or even an offer to compensate us (by a refund or another tour).
So thanks Rmaricar for the quality of your vehicles and your empathy when something inevitably goes wrong. Rest assured our afternoon will not be forgotten.

Great Fun and an excellent way to see some of Tokyo. The team at the garage were friendly, the guide help with photos and made it a enjoyable experience.They even recommended a tasty ramen restaurant around the corner for after karting. 100% must do while in Tokyo
