‪One of our favourite experiences in Tokyo‬
‪Such a good experience. The sumo demonstration was really interesting and they were funny and very engaging with the audience. Even after they had taken a picture with EVERY table they were still super happy and very happy to pose for pictures and talk to the audience. Everyone has the opportunity to challenge them too.

The host and staff were great. We did sit in the back and would recommend asking to sit in the front for an unblocked view. When we visited, a photographer stood in front of us multiple times during the demonstration despite being told by the staff to move which was frustrating. The staff were really good and made sure everyone had a good experience. We would definitely recommend this experience.‬

‪Problems with Wagashi Japanese Cooking Class‬

‪Despite using maps and contact phone number provided on documents sent to us, we could not find the pick up location. Attempts to call the phone number for assistance went to a non-working number, so we were forced to miss the class. Your representatives have deemed the fault as ours with no refund due. By the way, the phone number provided was recently tried by someone in Japan, and yes, it still is a non-working number. Given these problems we have already addressed with your representatives, we cannot recommend Trip Adviser or any associated providers.‬

Before the day of the experience, we attempted to contact you multiple times through Viator's messaging feature. We were hoping to obtain your contact information in case of any emergencies on the day of the experience. Unfortunately, we never received a response from you. Furthermore, on the day of the experience, our office staff was on standby, and the guide was at the designated meeting point for an extended period, waiting for your arrival. However, we did not receive any messages or phone calls from you. We hope you understand the efforts we made. We also hope for the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Once again, we extend our sincere apologies to you.

‪Kintsugi, wabi sabi of Japanese art‬

‪Small class (Just our family of 4), teacher was courteous, patient with us.
We would have loved to take additional classes, but our schedule would not allow it.
If anyone is interested in learning about pottery and Kintsugi, this class is highly recommended.

‪Awesome sumo experience‬

‪This a great opportunity to see sumo wrestling up close without the time commitment of a whole match. It's amazing to see the skill and art of the sport. You can take a photo with the wrestlers at the end. Many people were watching: probably over 50 in a small training facility. Come early if you want to be in the front. Note: you can request a chair in advance and it will be provided. Most people sit on the ground. Highly recommended!‬

‪We booked onto this with a vague idea of what it was about, but it turned out to be better than our expectations. It may vary depending on which wrestlers are on, but the two we had were like a comedy duo, they were hilarious! They talked through the training, rituals and did some demos of what is and isn't allowed, along with some theatrics and landing in peoples laps. It was really interesting to learn, but also really good fun. They took time out to ensure all tables had a photo opportunity and also had a chance to challenge them. Great fun.‬

‪A necessary experience‬

‪Nobu was a well informed and caring guide. He had taken care to see all eventualities were covered, pre-purchased necessary tickets and planned the best way to spend the day, right down to train and bus times. We went to Miyajima Great Torii in the morning where he used his local knowledge to avoid crowds and speed our visit. In the afternoon we went to Hiroshima Peace Park which was a somber experience although I feel a necessary one for everyone. His knowledge and quiet, respectful commentary, added to the experience and set the tone for the afternoon. All-in-all a full, well spent day. Thank you Nobu.‬

‪Kabuki show interesting, wanted to experiance it‬

‪Wanted experience the Japanese's culture. I purchased online before we went to Tokyo. The tickets went on sale a month before, it sold out in one day. I was able to pick our seats that were left. I wanted to be close to stage. I was able to get 15 row 18000 yen each then i just picked them up at will call day of show. I read ahead what to do we purchased bento boxes, for intermission.‬

‪Elite tour‬
‪Wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking a lot. Yugi is an expert and also a local. He himself is an artist and very passionate and knowledgeable about all of houses and museums he took us to. We were able to see more in less time because it is private. He picked us up at UNO port at 0910AM and drove us back to Naoshima port to catch the last ferry back to UNO port at 5:35 PM. Thank you Yuji!‬

‪Sumos no show travelled to the stables and it wasn’t on despite having purchased tickets‬

‪We arrived at the sumo stables for the morning session and no one was there. We noticed a sign on the door and the qr code informed us the session had been cancelled we had no notification that it wasn’t on. Sent email to trip advisor to receive a refund. 2 weeks later no refund.‬
