We had just the best day out with Sam who is a brilliant guide, storyteller and all around Good Human Being! We had only one full day on Skye and we are very happy with our decision to let Sam take the itinerary into his own hands - we got to see many of Skye’s most wonderful spots which we would not have managed to fit in or know how to prioritise by ourselves. We did get very lucky with weather as well so don’t write off March as a time to visit the area!
Thank you again Sam, we hope to be back for more - with a third next time!

What a great day with Sam. Had amazing weather and he was so much fun. His excitement about the area us awesome. Some great stories and history knowledge No better way to see skye.

The morning of our jeep tour was very cloudy, we were a little concerned that we may not be able to see much. Sam suggested some other things in the hopes of the weather clearing. He took us all over the Isle of Skye. Visited Skye Skins and beautiful coast line, even had some delicious homemade Scottish tablet. We climbed the peak at Fairy Glen and Sam had the best cup of hot tea afterwards to warm ourselves and wash our hands. He thought of everything! Ended the trip with usual suspects and it did not disappoint. Neither did Sam. So many wonderful bits of information and lovely company! Such a great guy and so knowledgeable of the isle. I would go back in a second! We were a little hesitant to hire a tour guide but it was soooo worth it! Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful day with Lynne in the vintage jeep. Both the weather and Lynne were sunny. Lynne had many stories to keep us entertained and of course Skye had endless beautiful vistas. Thanks Lynne and Skye Jeep Tours.

We spent the first day with Sam going the northern route and the second day going northwest with Lynne. We had a blast! The two were very knowledgeable about the island and told some great stories! They took into account the fact that I have special needs, I am a diabetic and a spoony. I’m also a little older so I wasn’t going to climb the old a’stor and needed to pace myself, but we did drive by him and took some great photos. They took us to a couple of “secret spots“ that were just as beautiful as some of the major spots with a lot less crowds. In addition, we saw the castle, and a few other more well-known spots. The pictures do not do it justice, we smiled and laughed for two days! Highly recommended!

Fabulous Jeep tour of Skye to places off the standard tourist path with a very knowledgeable, fun guide. Sam created a great route taking in some unique sites on Skye that really provided the essence of this beautiful isle. Couldn't have asked for more!! Terrific tour!!!

I specially requested the old WW2 era jeep for the tour. In the days prior to the tour it was raining a lot and Sam was able to switch some days around fitting my schedule. It mostly let Sam decide wat was worth it, but of course you have a say in it as well. He knows a lot about Isle of Skye and is able to tell lots of interesting stories. In the end, the weather was perfect, the hamburger was delicious and it was a very enjoyable day. The advice for a restaurant that evening after the tour was brilliant as well.
Thank you very much. If i'm going back to Isle of Skye i do hope you are still in business!

We had a great day with Sam. He had lots of information to share about the Isle of Skye along with some fascinating stories and folklore. Took us to lots of areas of interest along with some side trips. All in all it was a wonderful day and would recommend to anyone interested in a personalized trip to the Isle of Skye.

Our tour of South Skye with Sam in his vintage jeep was a wonderful adventure! Sam took us to all the hidden gems and off the beaten path. We thoroughly enjoyed all his stories about Skye and were so blessed to have a picture perfect sunny day. If you want a unique adventure on Skye, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Skye Jeep Tours. You won’t be disappointed!

A day tour costs a total of £250.00.
Pickup is Broadford or Portree. We can pick up from your accommodation but if this involves more miles and time we have to charge appropriately for this.

We will be coming in from Oban by public transportation. We are interested in your Jeep tour to Skye. Where will be the best town to stay, while we don’t have a car?

The best place to stay is Broadford. You could also stay in Kyleakin or in Kyle of Lochalsh. The train stops in kyle of Lochalsh and the bus goes to Kyleakin and broadford.
We have a website with videos etc of our accommodation if you are interested in staying with us.

Hello, I am looking for a one day private jeep tour (pick up and drop from Kyleakin) during the end of May (bank holiday weekend). Do you have availability then? and how is the weather like during that time of the year? Also I have a almost 3 year old. Is it possible to take a jeep with him?

Yes, I can pick up in portree. You'll just miss the bit between Broadford and portree. Might start a little later though. I'm generous with my time and will give you a great tour.

Thanks for your kind inquiry.
Yes, we'll tour Skye throughout the year.... if the weather allows! We live on the 'wrong' side of a mountain pass and if it is dangerous to get out, we'll not be going anywhere. Last winter was a pretty bad one and we were not able to get over the pass on 3 or 4 occasions.
If you wanted a tour, I would happily book it into our diary, but would not take payment until 24 hours before.
Skye Jeep Tours do various self-catering options too, if you wanted to stay with us.
