Interesting because it pays tribute to some of the victims of the war and not just the soldiers........and you can drive either way around it - weird and a bit disconcerting

Great design in a great location. It reflects the openness of the estate although I understand houses were knocked down to make room for the memorial.

You'll find this beautiful war memorial whilst walking around the lovely village of Port Sunlight. Not just a reminder of lives lost but a wonderful piece of architecture

Quite a moving memorial. We did this as part of the walking tour so appreciated the losses incurred even more.

everything so lovely and the memorial was stunning beautiful and big cenbtral to the village the village is so pretty never seen anything so cute ever.

The War Memorial in Port Sunlight is very different from most other war memorials, in that it's not focussed on the battle and the casualties at the front, but rather on the way the war was experienced at home. An anti-conformist committer (Lord Lever) and an anti-conformist artist (Augustus John) created something different and moving. perfectly fitting that lovely utopia that is Port Sunlight Village.

Very well maintained and Poignant message for everyone, beautiful gardens and we also visited the Hillsborough memorial garden which is a beautiful tribute as well.

Stunning memorial in remembrance of soldiers who died. Statues and architect on a grand scale. Can't miss it on arrival in this stunning village.

A magnificent memorial well worth a visit also just in front of it is the first memorial in Merseyside to remember the 96 victims of Hillsborough. from a further distance back it reminded us of the washington memorial in the distance. The whole area is worth a visit, we purchased a walking guide for £1-50 and it was essential and helped us see many things we would have missed.

Stunning war memorial. Well worth visiting! At the end of a lovely park, opposite the art gallery and a pleasant walk between the two!
