Well, what can I say just been to a very busy pub in Croston and ordered a medium Pino with soda and ice along with a pint of Guinness, and cost me £8.00 then went to the Rose and Crown about 1.5 miles away from Croston and bought the same order of drinks which cost me £12.50 I couldn't believe the difference. so just a word of warning although the food is great along with the staff, expect to get ripped off for the drinks.

Only 2 miles from home, only found it yesterday! And only in desperation as we travelled down the M6 from the Lakes. Surrounding lovely, team very welcoming, food brilliant and prices very good value. Menu broad as well, not huge list, but broad spectrum of choice. Loved it

Great food & service. Been lots of times and was a little disappointed on the previous visit but the team absolutely redeemed themselves. Our food was excellent along with the service. We both had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. Looking forward to the next visit very soon.

Very average. Restrictions meant we could eat only outside which in itself was fine. Because we were only two we were given a table next to a wall by the entrance to the garden. We were asked to pay for our meal at the time of ordering the food and again when we ordered a dessert which we found annoying. The explanation was that their technology did not work outside. Odd, since so many other placed do. Food OK and the Eton Mess was outstanding

Been to the Rose and Crown many times over the years, always a good meal. This was our first visit for over 12 months. Very impressed. They have done an excellent job of the outside seating. Very tastefully done and covid safe. Food was fabulous as always. Great to be back.

Big thank you for running a very Covid safe pub. Ever since reopening there has been track and trace, separate entrance and exits.
Now with stricter controls there was little extra to do as you were doing the first time.
Chatting to a another couple tonight we all agreed that it feels the safest place we have all visited during this Covid time.

Went here today, us and two tired dogs. Food fabulous, staff wonderful. They have 'the situation' sorted. Everything runs like clockwork.

Fantastic friendly place and amazing food, plenty space with them having marquee for bar as well as restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, booked again already

Having always heard good things about The Rose and Crown we decided to eat here mid week.
The food was really good as was the service which was delivered with a smile. Very pleasant night.
Reasonable prices and we would definitely eat here again.

We had a nice meal here in November, the food was good and the service excellent. Being a wheelchair user, parking was easy, but I did not see any Disabled Bays! This can be problamatic if a car parks next to me and I cannot open my drivers door fully,managed to park were this could not happen! Overall I recommend this establishment.
