Me and a friend booked the Giant Boat and it was amazing. We had so much fun and the sunset was beautiful. We travelled through South East Asia for about 4 weeks and this was definitely one of our best days there. I will come back next year!

I booked this at breakfast for that afternoon because it was reccommended by a couple. I ended up eating right before because i couldnt wait and there is this loud rowdy group on this boat in the river. Haha i show up for the tour and the owner tells me Im the only foreigner and no one speaks English. I'm like okay, lets do this!!! I honestly had the best time on that boat w this massive group from Pakse. They were already drunk and having fun which they loved having a foreigner join them. We were singing, danving, cheersing a lot because thats really the only way they could communicate about the good time we were having. When we stopped on the little sand bar we all jumped in the river and i was teaching the kids to swim. They were just the best! I ended up hanging out w them after the tour too! The owner is awesome and made sure i was okay (he can speak English). This was the best first impression of the Laotian people. Loved my time on Don Det.

Had the best 3 hours of our holiday , we watched the most amazing sunset floating down the meekong river ,the boat is enormous and great for a party .from the moment we got on board we were welcomed with a free beer and slowly floated done the river seeing how Laos people work and live on the great meekong,
We stopped for 1 hr were we swam and relaxed and met with local people .then came the most AMAZING sunset truly amazing .if you want to see the sunset this is the place to view it.all in all ki highly would recommend the giant boat of don det and cant wait to do it again next year
