Given 4 stars as we didn't actually see any dolphins, which isn't the boat operators fault, everything was perfect except that. It turned out to be a nice boat trip instead, although having not seen what you hoped to see, naturally you then think that you've paid too much. It may be better if they advised the percentage chance there was of seeing any dolphins, or make a price differential, so it costs more initially and if you see them, then all well and good and if you don't then you get a small refund, phycologically that would work very well! The two guys on our trip were excellent, Max and Simon, looked after us very well, Max kept everything going well, answered questions, offered interesting snippets and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed. They really are a credit to the company and we would have no hesitation in taking another trip in the future in the hopes of seeing the dolphins. The scenery along the coastline is awesome anyway and we saw cormorants and seals from a distance. A good idea to bring binocs to get the full value out of this trip.

Nothing's a given with wildlife, but this trip, with the staff and the organisation, made it special - whatever we saw!
Even so, we did get a glimpse of some seals, their pups, and a pod of dolphins!
Really great experience all round, would highly recommend.

Great trip on board the Anna Lloyd, which has maximum of 12 passengers. We had a knowledgeable guide who shared inform about the area and the wildlife. Thoroughly enjoyable 90 minute trip from the harbour along the coast and views of dolphins fairly close by. Highly recommend this trip.

An hour and a half of sheer pleasure.
Vic and the Band (Paul & Simon) were great and made it all simple, enjoyable and educating.
Lucky for us we had perfect weather day and a calm sea that only made it even better.
Stayed another 2 hours in the village to enjoy the sunny day atmosphere.
Recommended.

Great to have a marine biologist on board to explain the research being undertaken.
The boat was spotless and it was a fun and educational trip with the bonus of seeing two pods of dolphins within the 1.5 hours at sea.

Amazing trip and learned alot thanks to the crew been coming to new quay for 6 years and we go on boat trips everytime and for me this was the best yet it was fun and we are still buzzing today from our experience.

Great trip around the bay, accompanied by a marine biologist, who gave important and interesting information about the local wildlife. Small group, which made it easier to spot dolphins, seals and birds.

An excellent experience from booking to execution. A knowledgeable guide, beautiful scenery and very clean boat with regard to safety at all times. Would definitely recommend this trip. Would have loved longer!

Great trip around the coast at New Quay. The boat crew were very friendly and Victoria our guide was incredibly knowledgeable.
We went as a group with extended family taking 7 children from ages 2-8. As you could imagine there were a lot of questions and these were all fielded and pitched perfectly.
All in all a lovely trip, I would highly recommend.

We booked a private charter on Anna Lloyd.. Steve was very accommodating. He was good in communicating.
The boat journey was really nice but disappointingly, didn't see any dolphins but just a seal. Steve did his best but it was beyond his control.

How much was the two hour trip?
Was it a large or small boat (how many on there when full)?

It cost £20 per head. The boat took 12 people. It was very comfortable with plenty of room for walking around.

Hello I'm going to quay west and the one thing we want to do is go on a boat trip, we are a family of Seven, I understand that there are a few different boat trips what would be the cheapest? I've priced one and it would be £100 which I think is a lot of money for two hours. Many thanks

I think they are all a similar price. Dolphin survey boat trips might be £1 more but you may be the only people on the boat as there's 7 of you so it'll be like having your own private boat trip!!
