The Grange is a lovely old building with a fascinating history. The Art Gallery is superb and they have a programme of great exhibitions throughout the year and some lovely books and cards on sale. The museum gives you a snapshot of Rottingdean history. The gardens & tea room are well worth a visit too - there is no admission charge.

A delightful place to escape from the madness of the front on a hot Saturday in the summer.

A hidden treasure in the middle of a picturesque village. Yesterday we visited an excellent well laid out exhibition in an old house surrounded by a beautiful garden. Sadly we didn’t have time to enjoy the tea room. It is astounding how many different shows the Grange is able to put on yearly. Admission is free. Highly recommended

The William Nicholson Exhibition currently showing is excellent and I recommend anybody to go as a fascinating insight into this well known artist.

If you are in Rottingdean you must pop in. It is looked after by volunteers that are always glad to welcome visitorsT.his is a hidden gem of a place !It has a lovely range of exhibits and in the main room they chamge monthly.They have a core collection with memorabilia of Burne Jones,as he lived in the village and of Sir William Nicholson, print designs .
It has a wonderfully curated informative witty and charming exhibition of film memorabilia associated with the village ,and surrounding areas, some of Dora Bryan and Max Millers costumes, Enid Bagnold's National Velvet.etc.
There is an area for you to learn more about Kipling. They always have lots of postcards and ideal small stocking fillers for Christmas.
There are also exhibtions by local artists and a cafe with a deilghtful garden so when you have finished looking pop downstairs and have a delicious snack or wonderful home made cakes.Come and enjoy all the family are welcome. There is even a chair list if stairs are a trial.

A lovely hidden cafe open 7 days a week in summer. Lovely homemade cakes/quiches in a quiet walled garden with the most beautiful flowers. Secure for children and wheelchair friendly. Great teapots too

The Grange museum has a great mixture of content from historic items (Probably my favourite) to specialist exhibits on Burne Jones and cinema and local artists

whether you want to learn more of the history, including the time that Rudyard Kipling lived in the village, or see an exhibition, this gallery is a gem. It is beautifully managed by a team of committed people, and has exhibitions reflecting a range of community skills and flair. I especially loved the school children representations of different aspects of environments. There is also a library, a cafe (in the summer season) and a lovely garden.

A must visit if you are taking a walk through the village. Apart from exhibitors take the time for a cuppa and a slice of cake.

We really enjoyed our visit and found it some much more interesting that we had anticipated. There are many interesting and unusual exhibits.
