Best day of the whole trip! Thomas was the best guide. So fun. Nigel went out of his way to buy my distraught toddler an apple to replace the one he lost and absolutely saved the day. Highly recommend going with Nigel and his family if you want the best highland tour. Easy to work with, reasonably priced and supplied a car seat. It was like hanging out with friends all day

We toured with Nigel/Elaine and had a fabulous tour. There's much to be said for doing a private tour as the 4 of us could decide how long we wanted to stay at each location. Elaine had wonderful stories and we covered so many more attractions than we could have on a ship's tour.

I’m with Nigel,
He took us on a fantastic tour of Inverness and the surrounding country side. The views he had in store for us were fantastic, his knowledge of the area is fascinating. He very easy to chat to and you can ask anything you like, it’s like driving around with your mate. We saw the fabulous Dunrobin Castle with a falconry display as well. He also knows some great places to eat.
I highly recommend Nigel’s tour it’s a fantastic day out.

We had a wonderful tour with Nigel, seeing the country side as we drove along making stops along the way to take pictures and admire the beautiful landscape and historical architecture. We caught a falconry show at the castle that was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend taking a tour with Nigel if your in Invergordon Scotland.

Very enjoyable day. Well planned and timed to arrive/leave ahead of te big busses. Good planning by Nigel. We recommend calling him over the ship tours.

We spent unforgettable day in Invergordon and Highland/Loch Ness area with Nigel. Super professional, flexible, caring, I can only recommend Invergordon Shore Excursions and Tours.

We had a brilliant day with Nigel in Invergordon. Our day began with the murals in Invergordon and then a visit to a local farm. We had the most beautiful drive in the Inverness-shire countryside (well away from huge tourist buses). We got to Urquhart Castle ahead of the masses and made our way to Cawdor Castle and then Culloden Moor. One of the day's highlights was our stop at Harry Gow's Bakery to pick up a picnic lunch (we enjoyed it in the gardens at Cawdor Castle) and some butteries to bring home to Canada. Butteries are a Northeast Scotland breakfast pastry and they are delicious! Nigel couldn't have been a better host.

We spent our Invergorden port day with Nigel. Best decision ever! We asked in advance to customize our tour itinerary, and Nigel made it happen seamlessly. The highlight was time spent at Dunrobin Castle, and were impressed he had special backstage access. Never before have we had a tour guide with keys to such a posh place! Nigel also included a few surprises (two of them were named Katie and Jamie). He picked us up at the port promptly and returned us to the ship with time to spare. In between he took many photos which he has graciously shared. In our short time together we felt like we’ve found a life-long friend who is humorous, knowledgeable and just fun to be with. Thanks, Nigel, for making our trip to the Scottish Highlands so memorable.

Sailing on Viking Neptune's British Isles tour, stopped in Invergordon where we took a private tour with Nigel. Promptly at the port to pick us up, we were off and running into the beautiful Scottish countryside with an expert guide! Nigel is so knowledgeable, and we learned a great deal about the history of the area. Stop at Dornoch Cathedral, Royal Dornoch golf course, up close to Highland cows, a visit to Dunrobin Castle with falconry display, Falls of Shin to see the salmon jumping upstream - all made the day truly special. And to top it off, it was my husband's birthday, and Nigel had prepared cake and whiskey treats for him. Nigel is an excellent guide and since it seems everyone knows him; he was able to take us into places the general public cannot go. A friendly, kind, fun and caring man. It was a perfect day and a real treat on our trip!

My wife and I were on the Caribbean Princess with another couple and wanted to do a private tours. I found Nigel on line and he sent us the information on tours he was offering Nigel had another group that day but we were assigned to be with his son Thomas. We had a great time with Thomas, we did the Highland Experience tour. We saw the Falls of Shin, Dunrobin Castle, its gardens and falcons display. He also brought us to a great little Ice Cream shop, and had a taste of very good home make Ice-cream. We visited the famous Royal Dornoch Golf Course, As we drove through Invergordon, Thomas explained many beautiful murals where every picture told a story. He also took us on back road and places he asked if we would like to see, and what we was, was better than a bus load , We are sold on doing small group tours for now on. Our tour was Excellent and truly 5 star ,, no make it 7.5 best tour ever. Thanks to Thomas.
