This is the story of my dearest friend Estela Cremaschi... Altavista Wines (Casa Santa Rosa S.A. hoy llamada Casa del rey S.A.) If you´re planning to buy Argentine wines from Altavista Wineries, you should be aware of what this company is doing to the 74 year old lady and her family who sold them their ancestral vineyards,reserving for herself, her children and grandchildren a small piece of land where their houses were built under the mutual understanding that all services that had to pass through the vineyard to reach the house would be allowed, as there is no other way to reach the properties. However, since the need has arisen to install poles which would permit the electrical service to reach both houses, Altavista has denied them the right to pass, giving no explanation as to the motives for such a decision which has condemned them to total darkness Since then, the daughter has had to move out since she can´t doom her small children to a life of obscurity and the mother has refused to abandon her ancestor´s home and her dogs. This was her dream house, the place on earth where she expected to spend her Golden years in peace and for which she worked all her life. It´s shameful that a big company should have such power to turn people who have worked all their lives out of their own ancestral lands for the sake of a whim, or maybe expecting to buy the place for peanuts? In the meantime, all institutions have washed their hands and left her to her own devices. Shame on them! And SHAME on ALTAVISTA!!!!
