The course is very powdery and wide.
It is suitable for all levels of players, from beginners to professionals.
You can enjoy beautiful views while sliding down the slope.
The restaurants were nice too!
There’s a lot of souvenir shops full of cute and funny gifts.

Visited here on 22nd February with my son, it was his third day of skiing. There is a convenient Cable Car which transports you between the East Mountain and West Mountain & Mount Isola.
Weather changed several times during the morning but chairlifts worked well and the skiing was good.

This was our first time to Hokkaido for skiing and we tried all 4 Niseko United mountains as well as Rusutsu. By far Rusutsu was our favorite. It was far less chaotic than the other resorts and had much longer runs and the most wonderful trees.
We skiied fairly early in the season which made the trees a bit difficult to navigate given all the bamboo. We actually hired a guide, Atsuto who runs a business called Powloha which made a pretty big difference. He's a former ski patroller so was adept at helping us navigate the trees once he got a sense of our skiing abilities. I'd definitely recommend hiring a guide like him so you can get the most out of all the trees at Rusutsu without worrying about navigating.

Great ski resort, spread out over 3 mountain areas with gongola access. Our skier group found Isola Mountain the best for our intermediate group.

The worst experience ever. Booked a day trip to Rusutsu and when arriving there, we were told all activities were cancelled!
When we were booking and boarding the bus, it already indicated that we were going for a day trip so our activities were already planned. However, they didn’t mention that it’ll be cancelled prior to us boarding the bus and when we got to the resort (2 hours away from Sapporo), all the activities were not available and cancelled.
What? After which, there was no cab back (which costs $200/one way but we were so bored) and the front desk told us to try to walk into a 1pm bus, but the bus captain instead said that we must reserve. Then why didn’t the front desk tell us and ask us to walk in instead?
It was this horrible the entire day, and we were left to do nothing because almost everything was closed due to bad weather. The resort could’ve told us that it was basically closed for the day. Even when the weather was better in the afternoon, they didn’t bother opening up the activities. Quite horrible frankly.
Would recommend not to come here and don’t bank on anyone giving you updated information. Info on the website is highly unreliable.

札幌からの無料バスが接触事故を起こし、別車両に乗り換えていました。帰りは車掌さんが同乗しなかったせいか、運転が荒く、首が痛くなりました。無料は有り難いですが。ゲレンデでは、平日なのにランチの行列が30分以上かかりました。イーストセンターステーション「ローンパイン」は初心者向きゲレンデがあり、高校生の合宿でいっぱいで列がなかなか動きません。次回は昼食を持参するか、ゲレンデでは食べないようにするかです。レンタルも30分はかかりました。かなりスロー。ゲレンデはパウダースノーで広くて大変素晴らしいし、施設も遊園地のよう。

We cannot recommend the ski instructors and ski school here at Rusutsu Resort enough. We have had two family private lessons with Rachel H and she was fantastic. Having not skied for 6 years we were all out of practise and at different levels. She managed to set us all different things to work on with incredible patience and kindness. She could connect with each of our very different teenage boys and had a positive energy that has set the tone of joy in the snow for the trip. She showed us the mountain and created a fun atmosphere, giving the kids (and myself) the confidence we all needed. The younger two then had a kids ski school lesson and both left describing the things they had picked up here. They had another two friendly and patient instructors in Eliza and Cameron. The two leaders at the start listened to the needs of our youngest and took these in to account in setting up his ski school day. Right from the start the process when booking lessons before our trip was seamless and professional. We have loved our ski experience at this resort and highly recommend this ski school. Thank you.

リフト代金が高すぎる。

Review for Powloha ski guide. Atsuto Furuya is former ski patrol and his son is a professional free rider. My family 9, 11 year old boys and wife had an epic day as my 11 year old said. Atsuto San just started Powloha this year and we were his first clients. He knows Rustustu mountain intimately and had a great day planned that started with untouched courduroy, then went to off piste powder stashes that were level appropriate for the whole family. His English is limited but his spirit and knowledge transcended language barriers and we felt very safe and comfortable all day. Google translate ultimately helped us communicate more directly. We asked him if he could take us to an Onsen on our way back and he brought us to a local place and taught us the appropriate way to experience and participate. Powloha@powloha.com to email him. He picked us up and dropped us off from Hirafu in Niseko area.

Is there a way to join a group session, or connect with instructors, who operate on their own.

Hi everyone , we are planning to travel from Singapore in first week of Dec 2022. Family with a 16 and and 8 year old. please guide us for how kuch snow can we get in Rusutsu and Sapporo (2nd week). Also how many days are enough to plan at wach place . Total itinery is approx 9-10 days. Thanks

Hi, we are staying near the resort in Dec and bringing our own ski and snowboards. We would like to find out about ski lockers at the resort:
1. Can we reserve ski lockers in advance at the resort?
2. What is the overnight cost for each ski locker?
3. How many lockers do I need for 2 kid snowboards, 1 set of kid skis and 2 sets of adult skis?

Thank you for your inquiry. However, we are sorry for the slow reply.
We have 3 cafeterias(Steamboat, ISOLA 2000, and Cafeteria Lone Pine) on the base of Mt. Isola and East Mt., and also there is one on the base of West Mt. (Cafeteria HORN).
Operation period and hour may vary depending on the season, so please check the exact information at the site.

I want to hire gear from your resort, but I'm not staying at any of the hotels in the resort. Do I have to be a resident at your resort to be able to hire and use the ski lockers? And when hiring do I have to pre-book online or is hiring on the day okay?

I will transferring from Sapporo to Rusutsu with two piece of luggage. Bus arrives around 10am. Are there any lockers available at Rusutsu Resort or the Westin to store my bags while I ski in the morning and before I check into my nearby pension? Thanks

Thank you for your inquiry.
For skiers those who stay at accommodations outside Rusutsu Resort, coin-operated lockers are available inside our hotels.
However, space of lockers may not be enough depending on the size of your luggage, so we recommend you to ask the pension you will stay to keep your luggage before check-in and then visit us to ski.
We hope this information helps and enjoy skiing here, at Rusutsu Resort.

初めての北海道スキーを楽しみたいと思っています。思いっきり滑りたいのですが、飛行機の時間を考えると10時30分が限界です。早朝に動いているリフトはありますか？

当スキー場は、基本的に朝 9:00より営業開始となっております。
もしもご来場の日程が、2018年1月1日(日)～8日(祝)・14日(日)・21日(日)・28日(日)・2月4日(日)・11日(日)・18日(日)・25日(日)に該当するようであれば、「日程限定・Mt.イゾラ ファーストトラック！」というイベントが通常リフト券と別途 2,000円(税込)・予約制にて参加することが可能です。こちらに関しましてはルスツリゾート公式ホームページにて詳細をご確認ください。
