行ったことないと思って行きましたが、浴室でのエピソードを友達に言われて四半世紀程前に来たことを思い出しました。のどかでいいですね。気持ち良く温泉に浸かった後に休憩室で休憩。猫が出入りしていたので遊んで帰りました。

旧国鉄士幌線の廃線跡を散策しています。幌加（ほろか）駅跡地は、美しい杜の中にありました。夢のようだとは、こういうことを言うのでしょう。

北海道道東、上士幌町から国道273号線を三国峠へ向かう途中、少し東にそれた場所にある温泉です。国道からアプローチする道にはエゾシカがいっぱいおり、施設の名前通りです。
2000年頃、初めて訪問しましたが、約20年経った2019年も同じ古びた建物。しかし内湯、露天には以前同様、新鮮な湯がそそがれ、かけ流しにされています。
脱衣所は男女別ですが、内湯・露天共に混浴なので、注意が必要です。

雪見風呂になりました。
鹿さんは、道端でしか会えませんでした。
中年のカップルが後から入ってきましたが、女性が男性の陰に隠れて湯に浸かっているので、こちらが同じ湯船に浸かることができなかった。
変に恥ずかしがると、こちらが遠慮してしまい、
ゆったりすることができなかったです。
そのカップルの分、評価下げているだけですので、このコメントをみて行かれる方はご理解ください。
正直、湯船で固まって、周りが配慮しなくちゃいけないなら、混浴なのだから入ってきてほしくないですね。
10月にバイクで行ったのだけど、大雨で入るのを断念しただけに、残念。

いつも新月の晴天の日を狙って訪れます。
９０歳のお婆ちゃんが管理をしていますが、耳が遠いので質問や営業時間、宿泊の予約などはファックスがメインです。
秘湯中の秘湯。３種の源泉が湧き出ていて、基本混浴ですが、恥ずかしがらずにぜひ楽しんでいただきたい場所です。

鹿の谷という宿泊のみ（食事はない）の旅館の温泉にはいりました。今まで露天経験はありましたが、混浴で内風呂から少々歩くという露天は初めてでした。暗い中でも目が慣れてくると景色も感じることができ、とても楽しめました。

糠平温泉から20分程度走り国道から1～2kmくらい入ったところにいきなり出てきます。
宿の前は急な坂道ですが、温泉を道路に流しているので冬でも大丈夫かな、と思います。
今回は日帰り入浴で利用。
実は以前来たことがあるけど声をかけても反応なし。あらかじめおばあちゃん1人でやっていて耳が遠いということで電話を鳴らそうと思ったけどドコモでも圏外です。
宿泊もできるそうですが、素泊まり専門、とのことです。
糠平温泉郷も含めてコンビニも飲食店も何もないところなので注意！
建物もハッキリ言って古い。脱衣所は雨漏りしてる箇所がありました。
ここはすべて脱衣所以外男女混合、混浴というやつです。
内湯はナトリューム、カルシューム、鉄鉱泉の3つの湯舟、露天は1つです。
鹿の谷というその名の通り、鹿がしょっちゅう露天風呂にもあらわれるそうです。
自分は帰り道に宿の前で見かけましたが随分人に慣れている様子でした。
ご高齢のようだし、建物も古いので今のうちに入っておいたほうがいいかも。

国道273号から1.5kmほど山の中に入った場所にある一軒宿です。
建物は歴史を感じる佇まい。
日帰り入浴は500円。
内湯が3ヶ所、絶景の露天風呂もあり全て泉質が異なります。
脱衣所は男女別ですが湯船は共通です。

This is an isolated hot spring inn in the eastern half of the Daizetsusan National Park. The closest populated area is the Nukabira Onsen village about 15 kilometers south. Shopping and gas are located an additional 20 kilometers south of the Nukabira area. The Shika no Yu inn is located at the end of a 1.5 kilometer paved road off Highway 273. A sign reading "Horoka Onsen" points to the road and there is a bus stop for the Asahikawa-Obihoro bus on 273 at the junction.
The inn is basic and no meals are provided. Lodging is about 3000-4500 yen a night depending on whether you bring your own sleeping bag or require the inn to supply futons. There are kitchens and refrigerators on each of the two floors. Heating is provided by the hot spring through radiators in the rooms. There is no air conditioning. Reservations should be made directly with the inn by facsimile because the proprietor is in her upper eighties and is almost completely deaf.
The inn is best known for its wildlife and its baths. Indoors there are four mixed baths and one women's only bath.
Each is a good size; perhaps eight or ten people can enter each bath at once. Outside there is an open-air bath with no fence around it where perhaps 12 people can enter at once. There are often deer grazing around the outdoor bath, and occasionally a fox passes by. There are often deer around the front parking area of the inn, too, as the proprietor and other guests through their vegetable leftovers (leaves, carrot skins, apple skins etc.) out in the grass. The three times I stayed in May and June 2017 there were two red foxes hanging around the front parking lot in the evening ready for handouts.
If you love peaceful outdoor places, this is a great place to stay. It is quiet, has no WIFI, and there are only a few televisions in the inn. None in individual rooms. There is plenty of hiking in the vicinity, and the other guests are often interesting. Japanese language is required. Communications with the proprietor is by writing notes on a white board.
