an extremely lovely place beach walks and views amazing. The beach was super clean. Fish and Chips in walton was great!

A lovely beach, great for walking.
We picked up a leaflet at the visitor centre and had fun identifying the different rocks in the cliffs.

This beach is lovely. Always clean, and good sand for making sandcastles . There's plenty of room for everyone, and never seems to get overcrowded

We visited for the weekend, at the end of the season. Was so peaceful and super dog friendly clean beach, we will be back again.

Still a nice place to visit, the caravan park has been replaced with a supermarket, and many shops have been updated and changed. The beautiful beach remains the same, there are still lots of beach hiuts, and the Naze is well worth a walk around - but look out for dog poo!

the beach was lovely we stayed in highfield grange clacton but my partner wanted to visit walton on naize where hes grandad used to take him when he was a child..we arrived at around 2pm the tide was in so we went on pier to get cuppa and a snack..there was no tea and sandwiches or rolls ect we wanted light lunch as was having dinner later at our camp they only had fish n chip place at start of pier so walked through amusements thinking we will find somewhere on the pier but only had a ice cream hut. that was closed..but it was sunday but seeing as was busy lots people nice warm sunny day yesterday september 11th thought may have refreshments open but nothing on pier only fisherman and amusements so we tyrned around walked down to prom to a rea hut but no sandwiches or rolls only cakes!..we went back to car drove to town part where bikers gather down that road was cafe on left past car park!..finaly found one had everything!..in the end we opted for a chicken roast as all the walking and sea air made us both hungry😃dinner looked small but once gravy boat was brought up made dinner look substantial was quiet filling for £7.90 not bad!..afterwards we walked back to the beach and luckily tide was out about 4pm so could walk down the slope and sat on sea wall looking out to sea!..beautiful sandy beach so all in all we enjoyed the day there..if you go in weekday maybe more shops would be open we thought seeing as its wknd n sept sunny lots would be open but only few..mostly beach huts selling beach stuff ect on sea front was open!..they have a nice pub on sea front we didnt think of asking if they do pub grub should gone there first lol but as we dont drink we were looking for a cafe for lunch!.. if you drive past the pub away from pier there is a small park for kids and a posh nosh hut so anyone vegan vegetarian and gluten free diets they cater for but not meat eaters😃

Beach was very clean, sand great to build sandcastles with children. Certain areas allowed dogs on the beach. Lots of shells to collect. Would certainly return to this beach.

Walton-on Naze beach is still one of the best beaches in England. Although i saw no 'visible' lifeguards, this in one of the safest and cleanest beach in Essex.

Visited Walton on the Naze beach for the first time today , the beach was relatively clean y I did see some rubbish as I was leaving by the stairs (people Should be fined for leaving rubbish in public places like this to stop it from happening and pictures recorded so if they do it again the fine doubles).. beach wardens
I was surprised to see dogs roaming freely .. At a guess we ended up on the dog part of the beach, but as I had already unpacked our stuff I decided to stay it wasn’t a great problem although had I seen a clear sign saying dogs allowed I would have found the non dog beach.. (presumably there is one!!)
The sand is good for sand castles it’s not the finest nicest sand but for Essex it’s probably the best you can expect, the kids enjoyed it and so did I. The sea water was surprisingly warm and it looked very clean too, it only looks murky due to the dark colour of the sand, some nice shells and the odd crab and jelly fish to be seen… I see people saying it’s muddy .. there was a small patch as we walked out but it soon changed back to something more solid, my kids laughed whenever they walked through the muddy bit and I wore sliders so didn’t succumb to the slimy feeling.. You can walk out in the water for quite some way and it barely comes up to your knees, this is great for the kids and adult paddlers like me.. and provides plenty of area/space for everyone to play..
On the beach (dog beach!!) there is nothing at all except sand.. we took a picnic and had already eaten on the green on other side of the beach..
Parking is plentiful and was opposite the dog beach was pretty reasonable but not the cheapest.. options if 1 hour 3 hour or all day from memory and it’s free after 6pm..
There is a food and ice cream van on the green near the parking area as you walk to the beach.. very friendly chap, extremely reasonable prices, trustworthy, very old school I guess.. we got some basic grub down our necks and the kids got an ice cream and somewhere to sit so we were happy.. I’d imagine many would probably turn their noses up as it wasn’t the cleanest looking but we gave it a shot and were happy..
There is a small play area for kids to run around too..
That js all I can report as we
only spent 4 hours or so here.. I will return sometime soon and check out the beach closer to the pier as I am guessing this is the non dog area..
So for now if you want a simple
And easy clean(ish) beach especially if you have a dog.. that’s not overrun with people, has good parking.. and warm water then pop along.. if you’re looking for theme parks and amusements then go South End or one of the many Seaside towns in the UK..

Good dog friendly beach. Really well sign posted where we could access beach and lots of beach to use. From the middle where the motor bike cafe is you can access to the left with a dog and we sat where the fisherman's cafe is which is also dog friendly, this is where the nice beach huts are.
So nice to see lots of dogs running around living their best life's🐕.
It was clean with nice white sand, the sea was warm and we stayed in for hours.
From the motor bike cafe to the pier isn't dog friendly if you would prefer to not have dogs around you.

Are there public toilets open? Also are there public toilets on the Naze beach by the Naze tower and are they open?

Sorry i do not know if they are open or not.. you could try finding a phone number for the council, i know there is also a loo at the swimming pool but do not think it will be open SORRY.

Yes . It have a long indoor machine-games area .
What is the nearest carpark to the beach. We went many years ago there was a large carpark just across the road to the beach is it still there

Yes car park still there next to pool also along beach, and car park in town, which has market some days but not sure when.

Is it possible to spend all day on the beach I have read that at high tide the sea comes up to the wall. Is there somewhere we can pitch up for the whole day?

There is a big tide at Walton, it goes out a long way at low tide, and covers virtually all the beaches at high tide. When the tide is out, there is no problem as there are acres of sand to play on for many hours. There is only one small piece of beach that does not get covered at high tide, just to one side of the pier, a little way towards the Naze. However, if you go on the grassy Naze, you can play on the grass overlooking the sea all day.

Can you BBQ on the beach

I don't know if it is exactly banned. Please check with the local Council. I have not seen anyone having having one. However, I do not think it would be an ideal place for a BBQ. This area can become crowded. There is a nature reserve nearby and many birds to observe. Sea gulls may pester. Mersea Island, approx. 50 mins away, is a pleasant BBQ spot.
