A beautiful garden located at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains. Lovely cool climate garden with lots to look at. A very good nursery to purchase plants.

We loved that this garden is open outside of the “seasons” like others in Mount Wilson. They included tea and biscuits which was much appreciated (and even thought to have mozzie spray out too)
We visited on a misty later afternoon, it was a little slippery in places but we were given a good heads up by the owner
The gardens were stunning, lots of paces to sit and enjoy a picnic or sit at one of the many tables, on the day we went due to the rain getting heavier we couldn’t spend as long as we wanted but that just means we have a reason to come back and explore next time :)

What a find! Just popped by to investigate and delighted by the friendly chat with Roger and browsing through his 5 acre garden. It's magical! He has many plants for sale in his nursery.

Windyridge Garden is truly a hidden gem. A group of us braved the rain yesterday to visit the place for the first time and were warmly greeted by the owner Roger and a cup of tea and biscuits. Despite the wet weather, the autumn colours were spectacular. We will definitely revisit to see the peonies in spring. High recommended to visit this place which is tucked away from the main road in Mt Wilson. Recommended to call before you go just to be sure it's open.Thk you Roger for the warm hospitality

Such a diverse collection of plants in a magnificently landscaped site.
There are quite a few beautiful gardens to visit in Mt Wilson area. But if you only have time for one this would be my choice.

There is always some colour at Windyridge. Such a beautiful, peaceful and unique garden. Wonderful owners, great opportunity to have a hot coffee and a biscuit. The best toilets, very clean and well maintained. It's a must to visit when at Mt. Wilson.

Windyridge is one of the beautiful gardens in Mount Wilson with a difference. On arrival, you are greeted whee you pay a small admission fee and are then invited to enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee with a biscuit before setting off to be spellbound by the gardens. While autumn and spring are the most popular times to visit, there is always something special and at times whimsical to be found in the gardens. For those with ambulatory aids or strollers etc there are easy walkways avoiding the few areas with steps. Dogs on leads and picnics on the lawns or areas with tables and seating, are also very welcome.
At the conclusion of your stroll through this scenic wonderland, you can purchase many of the plants in their nursery where they have cultivated them from the garden plantings.
A truly enjoyable way to pass some time and be renewed.

Travelling from Tasmania to visit the iconic gardens of the Blue Mountains, Windyridge Gardens sat at the top of our agenda. The toursim office in Katoomba said it was open; the Blue Mountains tourist magasine said it was open; the signs on the road and just outside the gate said it was open......BUT IT WAS CLOSED!!

Hello John,
Our sincerest apologies, unfortunately we had a medical issue and had to leave for the hospital.
We are a privately owned garden and do not have staff. We are very sorry to have disappointed you on your trip and hope that you were able to see some of the other beautiful gardens on the mountain. We do ask that people call ahead if they wish to visit the garden and we will try to cater to the best of our ability. Again our apologies and hope that you had a lovely trip otherwise.

This garden is worth the trip and entry fee.
Large, well laid out with good paths and water features.
Stop by at nearby Wynne’s Rock lookout if you have time.

After viewing all the open gardens at Mt Wilson, this is by far the stand out garden. Magnificent flowers and colour, water ponds and water falls. Stunning!! The owners gave an excellent intro to their garden an you get a professional brochure map with history of the property. Don't leave without a trip to the toilet, SERIOUSLY, the most modern and immaculate public toilet I have ever seen. A complete pleasure to visit.
