Lovely winery walking distance from Isla de Maipo (or a short local bus ride, or bike ride). Good value tasting options compared to larger more commercial wineries. Private tour of family vineyards, winemaking and tasting of three to four wines. The merlot is a crowd pleaser with smooth caramel overtones and we were lucky to try the Catalina- a sophisticated smooth blend. You could skip the tasting and buy a bottle of top shelf Rivalto from the wine shop for the same price.
Transfer options- if you don’t want to pay through the nose for a private tour then you could 1) walk from isla de maipo for 30mins along the road 2 ) get local bus/ autopista for 500 pesos 3) hope for an uber 4) rent a bike- Ask a local for bike rental options - there’s a separate bike lane part of the way 5) get an uber from Santiago but no guarantees of return ride
