Quaint and peaceful. Significant for marriage poojas. Backdrop of temple is very picturesque.The main idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are dedicated to Lord Krishna in the vicinity of the temple. It is one of the 108 Shiva temples that are believed to have been founded by Parasurama

Less than 5 kms from Guruvayur is this out of the way Shiva temple. The peace and quiet resound with the decades of worship and is a beautiful experience. Dont miss the temple tank

These temple mainly known to people whose marriage not happening and for who all facing trouble with their life. That's what the belief. But the place is very calm very nature and eco friendly. If you spend some time you will feel very relaxed atmosphere. U can feel calm and peaceful mind.

This temple is about three kms from Guruvayur and is an old Lord Shiva temple. Autos take you there on request along with local tour of Guruvayur. For stay Guruvayur is ideal.

This is a very old temple of shiva and Parvathy. As per kerala customs do not cross the channel that takes away the abhishekam water ( Ganga). Pradhakshina hs to be done right side half and complete the left side half. Never do a full round.
Please take an auto to cover Chovallur, Parthasarathy, mammiyur and vekateswara temples.
No pants for gents- it should be vesti
for ladies only saree. They provide a vesti if you go by Chudidhar

Chowalloor Shiva Temple is situated 3 kms away from the famous Guruvayur Sri Krishna temple. It is said that this Shiva temple is 1000 years old and considered one of 108 Shivalayas or abodes of Shiva. The legend has it the deity of Thrissur Sree Vadakunnatha Temple manifested himself on an umbrella carried by one of his devotees from Chowalloor Mazhavannoor Mana, who used to walk all the way to Thrissur to daily pay homage to the Lord. When he became too old to walk and worship Shiva regularly, the Lord is believed to have accompanied him to Chowalloor. The Swayambhoo idol of Lord Siva is seen facing west in the temple, whereas his consort Goddess Parvati is facing east, which reflects that the showering blessings in all directions. Very peaceful and powerful place . There is a Lord Krishna temple too adjacent to the Siva temple.

This Siva Temple is one of the oldest temples and is located around 4 kms from Guruvayur. The temple is located in a village away from crowd and a decent place to worship. Since the crowd is less, one can pray as long as they want. The upadevadas of this temple is worth mentioning- one can worship Siva, Parvathi, Ganapathy, Murukan and Ayyappan. If time permits please make a visit to Chowalloor Thiruvambadi Sree Krishna Kshethram.

Its a very oldest, divine and pleasant temple. We had a very nice darshan of lord shiva. The temple is very crowded and we meditate for some time there inside the temple.
