Miao embroidery is a very essential part of Miao culture and a treasure of Chinese costume culture. This traditional handicraft is inherited by local people from mouth to mouth and from generation to generation. It is also one of very unique forms of expression in Miao history and culture. Until now, we can still find traditional Miao costumes in Leishan and Taijiang in Guizhou. The exquisite embroidery with bright silver ornaments attracts people’s attention. There are different skills of embroidering in Miao nationality, such as: flat embroidery, plaited embroidery, knit embroidery, wound embroidery, crape embroidery, stitching embroidery, stretching embroidery, rolling embroidery, embroidery with split thread and sticking embroidery. In addition, the special pattern and style of Miao embroidery also shows mysterious Miao culture.
