Got there,after a 40 minute drive. No dogs allowed. What a load of rubbish. A well-behaved dog on a lead, what harm can that do? I won't be supporting this trust any more with their outdated policies.

If you're looking for a nice, long relaxing walk amongst the nature - this is the place for you. It's so lovely and peaceful and is perfect if you're after a calm, quiet walk. There are various directions and paths you can take, some areas are a sun trap in the spring/summer which is fab. There are also benches dotted around so you can stop and have a rest or something to eat.
If you're into your wildlife Foxley wood is ideal, there are so many different butterflies and bugs to see and it is a great place for birdwatching.
Just keep in kind that no dogs are allowed and the walk is quite overgrown in places so you will need suitable footwear.

The best thing is that dogs are not allowed. If only everywhere was the same. Wildlife left undisturbed,no awful barking disturbing birds. It is a beautiful tranquil place and highly recommend if you want peace away from idiots who shout after their digs and allow them to chase animals.

We used to walk here with our dog but despite their statement that they love dogs Norfolk Wildlife doesn’t allow dogs on most of their properties.

Went at a quieter time of the year in terms if wildlife but as the sun came out so did the butterflies.
There are 3 small carparks soon after entering.
No facilities.
You exit in the opposite direction to the entrance.
Typical woodland walk with good paths and a well marked route.
We followed clockwise and as we ended with a long open walkway we saw the majority of the butterflies.
In the wood, the odd speckled wood. In the more open areas peacocks, small tortoiseshell, the whites including a green veined white. As we returned to the carpark we spotted a brown argus.

Although some of the woodland is currently fenced off for protection of the wildlife and regeneration of the plant life this is still a great place to spend an hour or two.

With plenty of parking space,Foxley is an old wood with pathways to wander around and admire the surroundings.A peaceful place,with many wildlife species and benches to sit and enjoy the peace and at no cost.

Great time to go, Easter by chance, middle of April, bluebells were out.
Parking very easy and no charges. It says no dogs allowed, and for a good reason, no mess to tip toe past. So therefore as most of Norfolk have dogs, it means less people at the woods. It is not well signposted and only one area has lots of bluebells so could be easy to miss them. Personally there are more bluebells in my local wood at swineshead in Bedfordshire but I will not take anything away from this area, clean, well kept and peaceful. Enjoy

Foxley Woods are nothing to shout about. We went for our usual weekend walk expecting to see wild life and an ancient woodland as advertised! The walk was good, just over 3 miles in an hour and that was about it, which in our view is okay but we do, do better. The woods are yes, well kept! But the only wildlife I saw was I believe a squirrel, nobody else saw it. No birds, in fact nought, so very disappointing. Yes we will go back as with all the bluebells and wild flowers now getting there it is going to be a nice picture when they bloom, hopefully the wild life will make a visit then too! Personally my advice would be leave it for a few weeks.
