This is a place to be avoided by all. The place stinks of rotten fish. Crowd gather here for booze. No law and order. Could pose serious security problems during evening.

The beaches have vanished in Digha. You can still find it in Udaipur. A couple of Km from new Digha it is one place you must visit in your trip to Digha. You can enjoy your drinks along with good seafood literally sitting on the sea.

Udaipur Beach is a unsafe place. People compare this beach with Goa beaches because alcohol is easily available on Udaipur beach. But Goa beaches are much more civilized. Udaipur beach is rowdy and not at all comfortable for families and/or women folks. There are many other beaches in and around Digha to be visited. Udaipur beach can be ignored.

This is probably the only the beach near Digha which is still not concretised by the State. It is a great experience both during low tide, when you can safely walk miles into the water and also during high tide when you get the expereince of waves...

Very bad... too dirty and smelly. It was nice when I visited 5 years ago. We couldn't stay there even 10 minutes this time and left for Talsari

Here we enjoyed a lot and the red shell crabs were the most attraction on the sand . Love to go there again n again .

The beach is about 3 KM from the Digha Station. The approach to the beach is a bit rough. Roads are broken due to the cyclone. The beach is very big and good. There are a lot of shacks available where you can rent and sit and enjoy the sea. They will even arrange the chairs and tables right up to the waves. You can enjoy the waters while having fried plates of seafood and chilled beer.
Lots of activities are available like speed boat rides, banana boat rides, etc. Kids will also enjoy building a sandcastle, riding horses or toy cars. You can even hire two-wheelers and roam the beach or go to a place called Mohona while riding through the beach.
The beach is closed after sunset and is not recommended to visit after sundown.

If you go with friends it would be good but not a family-like place. Everyone was drunk and most suitable for people who would like to drink and enjoy the sea beach

Worst place I have ever visited. Not by nature but due to people. The place for drinkers, anti-socials, thieves, lootera. Police is also non cooperative. Most of the time no one present in police status. If someone present usually sleeps and says barobabu will come after having food which is a big time.

If you Love calmness and Peace, this is not the best place. If you want peace, go to Talsari Beach. This place is quite cheaper as compared to nearby beaches. Visit if you are nearby.

Udaypur beach doesn't have any bookable hotel.
It's very near to Digha beach but away from Digha crowd.
Politically, Digha is in WB and Udaypur is in Odisha but they approx 1KM away only.

I've done online booking at Oceana Tourist Complex of State Fisheries Department in Udaypur Beach, Digha. In the online receipt, only transaction date, etc. are available. No. mention about the name of Guest House, dates of booking or room types, etc.
Is that receipt enough? Should I carry this directly to the tourist lodge? Hope this would be alright. I'm going by this puja holiday, and office is laready closed, nobody is picking up phone as well.
Whosoever have booked online, kindly advise.

Please inform me the booking procedure of OCEANA TOURIST COMPLEX, Better if you can post the link of the booking. Or else please inform the kolkata address, from where I can book rooms or tents.

Booking can be done online via the official website or WBSFDC or you may personally visit the booking office of West Bengal State Fisheries Department located at Bikash Bhawan, Karunamoyee, Salt Lake.
