A 15 minutos do centro do Funchal o centro hípico Escapada dos Cavaleiros está numa zona muito sossegada, no meio da natureza, e é a melhor alternativa aos repetidos fins de semana na cidade. É bom para levar os filhos a aprender a andar a cavalo, para almoços de grupo, alojamento local...

Don't trust the address here on TripAdvisor. Luckily, we'd left our house early and eventually found it, with the help of locals, because the two signs pointing toward it are too far in between to really be of help.
Once there, we were impressed. The facilities are clean, big and welcoming. Francisco, the owner, personally leads the one hour kids lesson with a pony and before you know it, the kids let go of their fears (if they have any in the first place) and ride without holding on to a leash or the saddle. They laugh and have tons of fun and never want to leave again.
Meanwhile, the adults take pictures, drink coffee or simply watch on. Our son had so much fun that we're seriously considering going back for another round... If your kids love horses, give it a shot.
Francisco is great to talk to, and he speaks excellent English and French (from what I heard yesterday). His lunch recommendation was also spot on.

テラスからキレイな村を見ながら、栗料理をはじめとする美味しい料理は最高です。西洋人に大人気。
ハムと栗を詰めたチキンは特に良かったです。栗チーズケーキも絶品でした。
ウェイトレスは英語も得意なのですが、サングリアの色を間違えたり、注文した料理が通っていなかったりと、ミスが目立ったので4星にしました。

The owner, Francesco, has truly mastered teaching horse riding to others! Having never sat on a horse, he taught my husband in only a few lessons the basics of horse riding at a very reasonable price. After this, we could ride horses together (I am more experienced). It shows that this is Francesco's passion, which is why we very much recommend going here if you ever want to learn / deepen your expertise in horse riding!

Посетил это ранчо с группой в обзорном туре по острову. Даже не предполагал, что на Мадейре удастся покататься на лошадях, узнать о них много нового, я катался давно и всего пару раз ( мало практики). Доброжелательные владельцы, они много рассказали, помогли с катанием ( было даже страшновато). Но все обошлось, отличная прогулка, поездка запомнилась!

Would highly recommend this visit for horse riding novices like myself right the way through to experienced riders. Fransisco who owns and runs the riding centre is not only ia horse whisperer he is a human whisperer too, I had not ridden before and within the first hour I was riding hands free!!. I took my nine year old daughter and as she thoroughly enjoyed the time Fransisco took to help understand the training techniques and sitting facing backwards on India a beautiful Shetland Pony. Thank you Fransisco.

My family and I visited Escapada dos Cavaleiros for a horse riding experience and had an amazing time. We have three kids (15, 12, 8) and in our family I am the only one who has had any riding experience. We arrived at the top of the mountain to this beautiful ranch a little unsure of what to expect. They were so welcoming and so clearly enjoying what they were doing while they were teaching us to groom the horse, mount and then ride, that we felt completely comfortable in a very short time. And within just our one lesson all three kids were riding and enjoying it - with absolutely no fear. My oldest son was even able to do a crazy jumping mount and my daughter, who was riding a pony, was doing tricks in the saddle. It was a really fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our entire visit to Madeira. I would highly recommend it.

Wij hebben in een van de huisjes 12 nachten overnacht. Het is er heerlijk slapen en Francisco de eigenaar zorgt pefect voor zijn gasten.

I visited these stables as a group of 6 friends (mixed English and Portuguese) and we had a great time. The owner Francisco was incredibly friendly and made us feel very comfortable. He is very knowledgeable about riding and clearly has a great passion for horses.
While some of us had ridden previously, we were out of practise so Francisco refreshed the basics for us with a series of training exercises set in a beautiful big riding school. We did this all without a saddle, a more traditional way of riding, which enabled us very quickly to learn to control the horse. By the end of the session we were all riding independently, trotting and cantering.
These stables are set high in the mountains on a stunning farm. We had a lovely few times and it was well worth what we paid for it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and authentic riding experience from which you really learn.

Trata-se de um ponto turistico na Ilha da Madeira que estivemos juntamente com um casal de amigos, no terceiro dia em que estávamos instalados em Funchal. Vale a pena conhecer o Local conhecido como " Camara dos Lobos ".
