Absolutely beautiful place, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Sitting watching the river traffic, people getting on with their day. 3 miles from Truro and 10 miles from Falmouth, so shopping or looking for historical places to visit is close if that’s what you are looking for. Beaches in Falmouth are clean for the kids. Main roads are good but off the beaten track they are narrow and scary. Loved Feock and the quietness, good for the soul.

We really enjoyed the boat ride from Falmouth to Truro and back. Beautiful scenery and very relaxing.
Only slight negative is that if you are outside downstairs you can't hear the commentary.

A great little trip for all the family, if you have young kids who aint scared of the water haha, they will love it.
Reasonable priced too, highly recommended.

We did the full round trip of all three locations (took about two hours) with a two year old and a ten year old. Both children were totally engaged throughout. Oldest enjoyed the historical commentary from the captain whilst the youngest enjoyed spotting seals and searching for fish and castles! Would highly recommend.

Lovely day on the beautiful Moyana going up the river from Prince of Wales pier to Trelissick and back. Felt very safe on board with my family. Masks were worn by staff and travellers and hand sanitiser was available at different points on the boat. The toilets were spotless. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely commentary on the way about the surroundings. Saw The World cruise ship, St Just in Roseland and other sites. Very relaxing way to reach Trelissick. Family ticket was a bargain at £17.50. Lovely day out with the trip taking 1.5 hours each way then a perfect few hours for lunch and walk at Trelissick. Highly recommended - either a trip to Trelissick or to St Mawes on this wonderful boat. We only live in Mullion but after so much time at home during lockdown we wanted a proper day out and this was certainly what we needed! Thank you!

When you are in Falmouth and are looking for something really relaxing to do then the activity that I'm about to review is the activity for you and that activity is cruising the river Fal on the Fal River boat service. I took the river cruise last Sunday and found it really relaxing, but a word of caution, be careful in the sun when on the out as you can get SUNBURNT!!!!! But apart from that, it was enjoyable and I would recommend it

We took a trip along the river Fal, which was a lot more rivery that we had expected. Very very watery.
We loved the boat. On board we met a lady called (Lucy? Lucia?) who absolutely made our day. She was so funny and knowledgeable. My son is a bit odd, whenever he is distressed he really enjoys shouting whatever it is that he can see. He saw an animal that he believed to be a wizard. He was continually shouting "WIZARD! WIZARD IN THE WATER!".
The lady working on the boat explained to him that the animal was in fact called a 'seal' (it's like a big, grey, wet sausage that honks). He was crushed. She was able to cheer him up by suggesting that seals might be wizards in disguise. We would never have known that this could be the case. You just can't beat this kind of local knowledge.
She saved the day, and the kindness she showed this young lad REALLY made his day. It was much appreciated.
The boat was clean and floaty. The pricing was reasonable. The trip was a huge success.
To that young lady on the boat, wherever you may be... SEAL WIZARD'S REALLY ARE MAGIC!

We took a trip from Falmouth to St Mawes which was fine. However, a refund due to us did not arrive until I chased it up and I felt the customer service received was below the standard I would expect.

Four of us had a great time using our Fal Mussel visitor cards over two days (averagely fit people aged between 60 and 75). The staff at the ticket office were friendly and informative and there were several useful guides and timetables available. The park, ride and float location is very accessible and there are plenty of parking spaces; parking is included in the mussel card fee.
In case anyone is interested in a rough idea of what may be fitted into one day:
Day 1 (10am start, 5:30pm finish, timings approximate): 10 min bus ride to Prince of Wales Pier, 20 min ferry ride to St Mawes, wander around St Mawes, 10 min ferry ride to Place, 1.5 hour walk along part of the coast path of the Roseland Peninsula to Portscatho looking at stunning views along the way, pleasant drink and snack in the sunshine sitting outside the Plume of Feathers pub, 15 min bus ride (bus number 50) back to St Mawes, time for an ice cream, 40 min ferry ride to Trelissick, 45 min stroll along the river (we had left it too late for a decent visit to the National Trust Gardens there), 45 min ferry ride to Truro (includes an entertaining running commentary). Here we could have walked from the ferry to the regular train that runs between Falmouth and Truro but we enjoyed the ferry trip so much that we stayed on for the 1 hour 15 min return journey to Falmouth enjoying a hot cup of tea on the way.
Day 2 (10am start, 3:30 pm finish): Park and ride bus to Prince of Wales Pier and a short walk in to “The Moor” where we caught a bus to Helford passage (30 min, bus number 35). After a wander around whilst waiting for the tide to come in enough for the ferry, we took the 10 min ferry ride across to Helford and went on a 1 hour leisurely scenic circular walk through woods and along Frenchman’s Creek. Lunch in the Shipwrights Arms in Helford was delicious. We caught the return ferry from Helford, stopped for a drink in the Ferry Boat Inn and then took the bus back from Helford Passage (steep 10 min walk back up hill to the bus stop, make sure you arrive early as our bus left ahead of scheduled time and only runs once an hour). A short bus ride on bus number 366 took us to Custom House Quay (ask for the Maritime Museum stop) where we had a coffee sitting on the quay before taking a ferry back to the park, ride and float car park.

We took the Enterprise ferry from Truro (Malpas) to Falmouth and return. Due to the low tide we were taken by double decker bus to Malpas (very narrow lanes but the bus driver was brilliant) It was a lovely day and the water was pretty calm. The skipper was really good and pointed out many interesting places and lots of wildlife. All the staff from the man in the ticket office, the lady bus driver and all the boat crew were fantastic and could not have been more helpful. We would highly recommend this trip as it was good to see the scenery and also took all the hassle out of driving/parking in Falmouth. 10 out of 10 😎
