Our visit was a very short one, kinda in a hurry...I was surprised that we were not given helmets for head protection unlike in other caves we previously explored..the reason being was that the cave has high ceiling. Kinda disappointed too, about the flashlights because there were only two available, one of which was dying...good thing we brought our own headlamps..those were the downside... On the other hand, it was really a nice experience.The cave was easy to explore (with a guide).You will get to see different forms of stalactites, stalagmites and columns that seem like sparkling gold and silver. I will definitely go back to explore it again in details and hope to see some improvements on the management side...

This look upon as among the longest caves in the Philippines (which made it interesting to explore but to tell you, this is just a typical cave anywhere else in the country) is located in Barangay Laserna, Nabas, Aklan. Features rock formations (stalactites, stalagmites as well as columns), bats and insects. Ordinary tourists and explorers will come across two natural cave pools inside which the second tells the end of the tour (about 30 minutes overall) but for thrill seekers (pioneer spelunkers) they can continue their journey to glimpse the remaining cave pools (with a total of 7 according to our guide) up to the end of the underground chambers in the Province of Antique. Tour Package rate is Php. 500.00 good for 7 pax inclusive of a guide and individual flashlights.

I've been to this cave many times - with friends and family. It's different every time! The manager has made it safe to enter the cave and move around. They offer tours which goes to 1/3 of the cave. But I have been to most of the chambers and paths of the cave - you just have to be brave!
The cave has around 4 major pools. Only one is accessible with the guide. If you get an expert, you can rock climb down to the second pool, cross it, and continue on your journey.
That said, children are ok to enter the cave up to the second basin. I love this place!
To access it, you would have to enter Basang Cold Spring Resort - you don't have to pay their entry fee if you would just like to enter the cave. The fee we paid was PHP350 for 30-45 minute tour. It includes a guide and flashlights. There is a limit of 10 person per tour (ie 350 is for 10 people). You can probably negotiate.
