We booked Mato by chance as another company decided to cancel last minute and he was the best decision we made. We throughly enjoyed the transfer from Dubrovnik to Split and he made time to stop at all the places we wanted!
He took us to an amazing oyster farm and lunch as well as enjoying a traditional Bosnian coffee.
He was great fun, knowledgeable and very entertaining!
Best tour to date! Highly recommended!

This is the 2nd time we used this service and Mato and Thomas never fail. They are both wonderful. Helped us with every need, went with my ever changing plans. Great driver and chuck full of historical information. Wouldn’t visit Croatia any other way! They don’t disappoint

We were fortunate to have Mato as our driver and guide to Plitvice Lakes. We highly recommend him for any tour you may be entertaining while in Croatia. He is knowledgeable, reliable, and FUN! Thank you for a memorable day and when we return, we will definitely be contacting him!!!

Omgosh. Moran was a great tour arranger. He organized all our trips with suggestions and private guides. Our driver and guide was Zoran who was incredible! Went out of his way to accommodate us. We landed in the capital and made our way down the coast in 5 days to split! There we will catch a catamaran.
We took care of our own hotels- just because I like doing that!
We went in august 2023 which was 85-95 and so miserable! We choose not to do some outdoor tours. Zoran accomadated us and was great!

Amazing tour suggested by Mato who helped plan all the itinerary. The guides and drivers everywhere were first class and out favorite was Tomislav who spent 6 out of 10 days with us driving us to amazing locations and showing us not only famous tourist spots but also many local and delightful areas! Tomislav is one of the nicest and kindest people you could meet and also very knowledgeable about Croatian history and culture. If I could give this company 100 out of 10 stars I would and I cannot wait to travel with them again.

On Mato’s suggestion, our family of 4 went on a tour of Mostar, Blagaj (Dervish house), and Počitelj in Bosnia from Dubrovnik. Our guide was Tomislav, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was fun and engaging the whole time, molding our itinerary to best fit our family. Overall, the tour was wonderful and we learned a lot. We talked about the history of Mostar and Bosnia and Croatia and about the war events and effects of the war on Mostar and the country. We saw bridge jumpers while trying Turkish coffee and baklava, and we even had some time to shop the bazar stalls. We then drove to Blagaj to see a dervish house and Počitelj, where we climbed up to the old castle ruins. On Tomi’s great recommendation we also got to try some delicious pomegranate juice from a local vendor. Overall, we had a 10/10 amazing day.

We took an amazing 10 day trip to Croatia in July 2023. We had three families traveling together with 13 people in total. We used Private Driver Guide owned by Mato. I reached out to Mato via WhatsApp a few months prior to our trip. He was very responsive and prompt with my questions. I gave Mato our dates and the places we planned to visit. He helped with suggestions and planned an itinerary for us which worked for our group. He even sent pictures of the boat for our private boat tour just to make sure we liked it. We had a great time in Hvar on our private boat tour planned by Mato. We had two very clean and comfortable Mercedes vans for our trip. Though the trip was planned before we got to Croatia, Mato kept in touch with me throughout the trip. We changed some days around based on crowd and weather.
Our drivers were Ante and Zoran. They were prompt in meeting us at Dubrovnik airport and took us for lunch to Ston before dropping us to Split. We had split the cars with adults in one and kids ranging from 14-21 in another. Ante and Zoran took turns between driving the adults and the kids. They took us to Plivitce Lakes, Mostar, Montenegro and Dubrovnik. Ante and Zoran were always on time to pick us up whether it was the airport, ferry port or our airBnb. They were fun, friendly and knowledgeable. They became part of our group and everyone including kids felt comfortable joking around with them. Ante was the one who came with us to most tours and made sure to help find restaurants that accommodated vegetarians. He would go ahead and make reservations for us in advance. Also, both Zoran and Ante kept their calm and cool even when circumstances were not under their control such as border traffic! They took us to the mausoleum in Montenegro which was not on the itinerary but was an amazing addition that was loved by our group. Ante even gave us fresh tangerine juice and watermelon from his family.
We all had a wonderful time and I highly recommend using PDG for your travels.

We spent an amazing day with Mato. We were initially supposed to go to Montenegro, but due to the extreme traffic at the border he suggested we change to Mostar. We did and had an awesome day, which he customized to our interests. We first stopped at a winery in Croatia with beautiful coastal views, delicious food, and amazing wine. We then went on to Mostar, where Mato found us his favorite place for Turkish coffee, and then a lovely restaurant overlooking the old bridge for an amazing Bosnian lunch. Mato was knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and seemed to know people everywhere we went! Would highly recommend him and his company to plan day or longer tours in Croatia.

We used Mate’s driving service to go from Doubravnik to Medjugorje via Ston. Zoe am was our driver who did an excellent job of showing us Ston, salt factories, oyster tasting and wine tasting private tour, before taking us to Medjugorje. While there he dropped us in church and after the service took us to apparition hill and climbed all the way with us. Drove us back to Split. Very knowledgeable guide. Gave us the history of the country and all the places we visited. Highly recommend this company for an enjoyable trip to wherever you want to go. Tailors the trip according to our interest and knows the BEST places to eat.

We used private driver in Croatia tours in Croatia and day tripper in Albania. They weren’t inexpensive, but well worth not having to drive ourselves. We didn’t need a driver every day, so we saved $$ that way.

The price isn’t based on daily usage of the van; rather it’s based on your specific, customized tour/where you want to go and factors surrounding that. It’s best to contact the owner directly (website previously mentioned in other posts) for price quotes. Good luck and have fun!
