Had a stop-over at this beauty and it was truly magical. Felt like you have gone back through time and had experience a whole different era.
It was like a cross-over of two different times in one place. Its historic ambiance was a breath of fresh air on today’s modern time.
Will definitely stop-over for a longer time next time.

Beautiful old church, with lots of character, and an amazing tapestry roof that still looks beautiful. Sadly, the whole church is in a state of disrepair but still lovely inside. Worth a visit if you are in Argao.

陰錯陽差地來到了Argao，其實本來是要搭船去薄荷島的，誰知白目跑錯了碼頭，應該是到另一個Taloot Wharf，但發現後已經趕不上船班時刻，所以就在Argao Wharf附近走逛，發現了這座古老教堂，整體環境氛圍還滿有歷史感的

We missed the English mass and settled for a mass in the vernacular. While the mass as ongoing, we couldn't help but be astounded by the beauty of this really old stone church in idyllic Argao. We were pleasantly surprised to find out later that the church was bounded by a lovely central plaza and some local government buildings Hall of Justice, the town hall, and the Dept of Tourism.

The Argao church or the Saint Michael the Archangel Parish church was built in 1734. The facade is made of sand and coral stones making it appear white.
It has a simple Baroque architecture, if there’s such thing.
The church is just 8-minute walk from the Argao Bus Stop.
