The hotel is tired, the rooms are in need of modernising and most definitely in need of replacing the mattresses, it's like sleeping on the floor they are that hard, the springs groan as you turn over definitely seen better days, I arrived after a long days drive and was shocked when I saw how the room was made up even more when they couldnt be bothered to make the bed properly I expected more from this hotel being a Hilton.

Had the pleasure of staying here on quite a few occasions now and always enjoy it. Good, clean spacious rooms and comfortable beds as expected. What makes this special are the staff! From check in to the restaurant, all the staff are friendly and polite. Especially like to mention Debbie and Lilly at the bar, they both make you feel at home and really look after us.....good fun and professional.
The food here is much better than most other Double Trees!

Treated my wife to a cream tea through group on and if better experience can possibly be had I am booking there next!
Service was perfect, attentive but not intrusive. We were granted our request to sit outside with no fuss and served in a timely manner.
The food and drink was as plentiful as it was tasty and filled us both up easily.
The only downside was the ignorant guy in a suit who presumed to own the whole outdoor area conducting a loud sales call for the hour plus that we were there. I wanted to enjoy some peace and quiet not listen to your pontification on selling medical supplies at a conference!

I did not want what was on the menu. So the chef offered to prepare me something veggie friendly. I can honestly say that I would eat what he prepared for me, every day for a month it was so tasty.

I came here for coffee with friends and was served by a lovely lady. The service was amazing and the staff member was really happy, smiling constantly, chatty and really helpful. Hopefully the staff member will get recognition as I didn’t get to say Thankyou before I left. Her name was Vanessa. Really good service. Thankyou.

This is a great venue for a meeting. It’s just off junction 16 of the M5. Met a colleague here today and had a meeting in reception. Comfortable chairs, great coffee and biscuits.

Visited Double Tree Hilton on Afternoon Tea with Prosecco after taking wife to hospital appointment at Southmead hospital. Excellent time from Andrea's assistance when making booking, through Troy waiter in attendance, and attention by all levels of management during meal to check if satisfied or anything they could do. Waiter intelligently brought bottle of Prosecco to sample/tase whilst waiting for tea to be prepared. Enquired and sought out specialist tea to bring with tea pots/milk, even offered to make tea himself, then brought out superbly presented ta on a mini picnic table, 2 x egg s on bagels, smoked salmon on cream cheese, mini ham and gherkin rolls (4 in total), fresh green salad with cheese and anchovys, tabasco laced mini tomato juice, and 5 mini cakes on bench seats! All extremely fresh and very delicious. Great way to unwind after hospital appointment - recommended would go again (on a deal)

I was so disappointed when I took my sister for an afternoon tea for her birthday (Groupon deal)!
We were welcomed by a waitress who looked like she had a hanger in her mouth! I could forgive that as I thought she just really wanted us to feel welcome.
She bought over a selection of teas for us to choose from.
Long story short, nearly 30mins later we got our food, followed by our tea that finally made an appearance over half hour after ordering!
Sandwiches were gross, and swimming in marge! Seriously Hilton, you are a high end chain, splash out on some real butter!
Tea pot was massive with one bag in so weak!
Cakes: scones... Seriously has anyone ever had a bad scone? I have now! And the tart had such a soggy bottom we had to slice it off the board with a knife! In fairness the choux pastry was lush!
1 1/2 hr in... Yes 90 mins in (!!) we were still waiting (with dirty plates) for our prosecco!!
I went to the bar to chase it (as we'd already asked the waitress for it whilst requesting our dirty plates and cake display be taken ). The DUTY MANAGER said " oh, you're still waiting? " pointed at a tray at the end of the bar "are they yours?"
I said "I don't know, you tell me!"
I went to go back to my seat (thinking he'd get us some drinks and bring them over... ) and he called after me "are you going to take these drinks?"
Utterly disgraceful service. Save your money! Go somewhere else!

Stayed with my friend last year reception was helpful was very busy with a wedding tho so we were just shoved to one side. But room was lovely and clean nothing much around do ended up going into town but was nice.

I had my wedding here in April 2016, the staff were very lovely and very helpful. I didn't have enough time to enjoy the gym/pool facilities due to getting ready for my big day. The wedding packages are great value for couples. Only downside is there isn't a decent place to have photos taken, however, there is a small lake in the Aztec business park, which is lovely. The food is lovely. The drinks are expensive, they serve lager (Stella, Carling, Bud) and house wines as well as soft drinks.
Rooms are very clean and very comfy beds.

Hi, I am going to book the afternoon tea with spa voucher I got for christmas. I would like to know what we need to bring with us for the spa, is there changing rooms etc for us to use and what are the spa facilities like? Thank in advance! Lauren.
Its a health club rather than a spa, there are no spa treatments available (massage, facials). There are changing rooms, a small swimming pool, a jacuzzi, steam room. Its relatively basic, but the staff are welcoming and friendly. I would take a towel as i am not sure that they are included in this experience, or you can hire them for £1 each.
The food is very good in my experience, with friendly and welcoming staff.
