Great experience for those who are looking for more of an ethical interaction with the elephants!!
You can tell the sanctuary really looks after the elephants and they are very well informed.
The only thing I did question which made me give this 4/5 is because it did seem very commercialised as there was always a camera man taking a photo of your interactions with the elephants, which did seem to divert the experience and did make me wonder how often a week these interactions go on. However the team do stress they are domesticated elephants and need human contact, so I suppose it's alright, but I think part of me would like to see them more out in the open and in a larger space.

If you want to get up close with elephant s this is the best place the animals are well cared for no chains or sticks with nails being used this is a very well run sanctuary where they tell you a lot about the elephants and let you feed them ,give them a mud bath and then wash them down a truly amazing time well worth every penny they even take lots of photos of you with the elephants which you can then download for free don't miss out go here it'll make your holiday 😎👌

Highly recommend this wonderful park. 13 rescued elephants who are now being looked after in a wonderful environment, no chains, no riding. Staff treat these amazing creatures with the love and respect they deserve. This was the highlight of my trip to Thailand.

It is so wonderful to see people caring for the elephants that have had a terrible life up to now.... it was an amazing and heartfelt experience to know that these elephants are now free and away from cruelty and are now living out the rest of their lives as they should !!!

This was an amazing and unforgettable experience! My husband and I visited during our honeymoon and chose to see elephants here as they are rescued and treated with care and respect. Bathing, feeding and showering with these elephants was a once in a lifetime experience, especially in a safe and non-exploitive environment. All the elephants were enjoying being fed and bathed and were very social! Lunch was also very good and amenities were great. If you’re wanting to see elephants during your trip to Thailand / Phuket, this is the only safe and humane way to see them!

Le centre est très chouette.
Les personnes s’occupant des éléphants expliquent correctement leur position par rapport à eux. En effet, les éléphants ne sont pas maltraités mais bien au contraire extraits de milieux agressifs et violents.
La visite débutera avec la distribution des bananes aux éléphants. Ensuite vous pourrez les barbouiller de boue pour ensuite les laver.
Vous finirez cette demie-journée par un très bon repas.

What an incredible experience! The guide at the park was so knowledgeable and it was so lovely to hear about all of the amazing things they are doing at the sanctuary to rescue and protect the elephants there.
The experience of feeding the elephants, as well as giving them a mud bath was so fun and it was great that it was benefiting the elephants too.
The facilities for changing and showering were great and the food was delicious too. We’re so glad that we booked this trip. Thank you!

I am wanting to book online today for a morning trip tomorrow with the elephants. Because it’s less than 24hours, will the transfer still be included as I’m holding off booking it just in case they won’t collect?

Hi,when booking online it has option to book transfer,if this option is on there I would say its good,
I believe each session only has about 20 people so pick up shouldn't be an issue.
If in doubt email elephant sanctuary direct.

Hi I’m going to the sanctuary tomorrow and wondering if to take my camera. Will there be any chance to use it?

Yes, as others have said, you can take your own camera - we did. However, the Sanctuary have a photographer who is constantly taking pics of you all throughout your trip and then they load these onto Facebook a couple of days later where you can choose all the ones you like and download them. Be sure to make a note of the date/code for your particular trip photos though.

We stayed at Villa Angelica - Baan Malinee which is very close to the Sanctuary. But since the Green Elephant Sanctuary includes free pick up around Phuket you can easily visit it from whereever you want to stay. It just might be a bit longer drive to get there. So you can decide if you prefer to stay near Phuket town or one of the beaches.

We booked via our tour operator. I do know they have a morning and a afternoon session. We did the afternoon session and we were pick up at 13:30 at our hotel Patong Merlin. Add about an hour to get there

Hello sorry for the late delay, I just saw this now. We booked with an a tour agent in Phuket. She was in a booth outside THE BEST massage place called Number One Relaxation massage and spa. Her name is BEE. And if you have a massage at the massage place you can get a discount.
This was an amazing elephant sanctuary experience and would do it again! Enjoy!
We are staying at the Outrigger Laguna in Phuket in April, do we need to book a visit to see the elephants in advance or can we wait until we get to our hotel? thank you.

The roads are fine, & we were picked & dropped off at the hotel. I dont know if bikes are allowed there. But you can enquire with them.
