这次冰岛之行的主要目的，就是探索蓝冰洞。先要做特制的雪地车，进山，穿行一个小时时间，再徒步进入冰岛，近距离感受神秘的蓝冰洞，这种震撼只有现场才能体会。离开冰洞，还能继续在山里徒步，搜寻美丽的蓝色冰川奇观，一切都是美到惊艳的！只是，太冷了，冰洞里寒风刺骨，一定要准备专业防寒的衣服鞋袜。

We really enjoyed our full day Glacier tour and highly recommend it! Our guide Reynir took us to three different ice caves and a viewpoint were you can see the end of the Glacier and the beginning of the Lagoon. It is just like the pictures and even better. Reynir shared all kind of facts and was able to answer al the questions. If you want to avoid mass tourism and like to hike (medium level), this is the tour for you! This tour was the highly of our trip...

I can't speak highly enough of our experience with Binni - owner of Ice & Mountain Trips and our tour guide. He gave us a knowledge-filled, adventurous, yet secure afternoon in 4 different ice caves.
We booked with Binni because we wanted to be sure to have a local show us around the Vatnajökull glacier. While many larger tour companies have international tour guides and are driving in 4+ hours daily, Binni has lived within 1 hour of the glacier his whole life, and can speak confidently to its impact on the region, what he's seen with climate change, and how new caves open every winter. Booking a trip with Binni ensures you will have a local-guided, personalized, and unique experience rather than being herded with a mass of people through the tight corners of an ice cave.
We booked the 1:30 tour and set off with Binni in his super jeep (it was just 3 of us! So personal!!) Binni supplied us with helmets and boot clips so that we were safe on the glacier. He shared wonderful perspective and stories as we drove toward the glacier and led us through each ice cave at our own pace. After seeing 2 gorgeous, deep-blue ice caves, Binni noticed we were ahead of schedule and added 1 more cave to our itinerary! This made us feel cared for & showed how much Binni was dedicated to this experience.

Esta aventura estuvo excelente,cuando llegamos estabamos buscando a la compañia pero alcabo de unos minutos Binni nos encontro. Una persona super amable, nos trato de lo mejor y lo mejor aun es que solo eramos nuestro grupo de 3 personas asi que fue un tour muy agusto ya que no teniamos que esperar a nadie en cada cueva, ademas algunas cuevas son pequeñas y la verdad es que no quieres a mas personas alli. Binni fue tan amable que nos llevo a una cueva mas que estuvo muy retadora ya que tenia una escalera que tenias que cruzar, el se aseguraba de que todo estuviera bien.
Binni nos proporciono de el equipo necesario como casco y los clips para las botas para no resbalarte, pero aun asi necesitas botas. Me gusto mucho el tour ya que Binni es local y nos hablo mucho del area, de las tradiciones de Islandia y un poco de la historia, solo tienes que preguntarle y el te explicara todo. Todo esto fue en Ingles y lo hablaba muy bien como la mayor parte de los Islandeses.
Si querias tomar fotos desde la camioneta o queria que el te tomara fotos estaba totalmente dispuesto ya sea a detener el vehiculo para una gran foto o a tomartela el mismo.

Contrate con anticipación la empresa Icelandic Mountain Guides y muy puntuales y respuesta a mis correos. El recorrido por el glaciar increibles las vistas, llegamos a la pared para hacer rapel y despues ahi mismo escalar, es nivel basico pero muy padre, el idioma es el ingles, pero solo observando las instrucciones se puede llevar a cabo y no se requiere experiencia, te proporcionan las botas, guantes, crampones, piolet, casco y todo lo necesario para la actividad solo es querer hacerlo. terminando esta actividad fuimos a ver 2 cascadas ya a oscuras, porque la luz dura muy poco en esta fecha y puntual de regreso te dejan en el lugar que hayas puesto.

I felt very safe in the hands of truly professional and knowledgeable staff in situations outside of my normal comfort zones. I cannot recommend more highly.

I booked an ice cave tour with my mother at the crystal cave for the 15th of march. The day before I received an email from Binni that the crystal cave was closed due to a flood. The alternative was another cave or a full refund. We choose for a full refund and replyed that to Binni.
1 day later I was curious when we could expect our refund and I called him. He said: we will take a look. I will take care of it.
3 days later I texed, emailed and called again. But no reply.
A day later I could finaly reach him and told me again that he will take care of it. But still till this day I did not received a refund.
Communication was realy bad and it feels like they ripped us of. Please don t book this tour.
Hopefully I can get my refund back!
Please contact me asap!

Hi Robin
We are sincerely sorry for the delay of your refund. For some reason the refund did not go through after the cancellation like it should have. We have contacted the Credit card company to trace the mistake. When you contacted us yesterday we made a transaction to refund you again, it will be back on your credit card on the 3rd of April (delay due to easter).
Unfortunately we failed to notice your email on the 16th and 18th of March and for that we are truly sorry.

The tour was canceled on the very last minute. A full refund was made, but no alternative was proposed. Since we had to drive more than 2 hours out of our route to do this tour, we had to find by ourselves another company who could take us, which took us more than 2 hours.

We usually cancel our tours the night before if weather conditions prevent us from visiting the Ice cave. In rare cases we´ve had to cancel them with a shorter notice like in your case. You booked a tour with us at 16:30 pm on the 20th of March but due to heavy rain we agreed to move your tour to the next morning at 10 am. On our way to the meeting point that morning our car broke down and we had to cancel all the tours that day. We are really sorry for the inconvience and the trouble you had to go through to find another tour.

After 10 days in Iceland during winter, the Ice Caves were definitely the best part of our trip. Ice and Mountain Trips is a great small company, very personal treatment, gave us all the time in the world to see the caves, no rush, nothing, just going at our own pace.
I didn't go to the "Crystal Cave", but being that it's only 1 and is usually very crowded, I would recommend going for the "Treasure Island" tour, which we took, just the walk on top of the glacier is a very nice experience, and both caves are incredible, each in its own unique style leaves you in awe.
