Mi aspettavo degli iceberg molto grandi sulla spiaggia che brillavano al sole, invece erano non molto grandi .La diamond beach è comunque da vedere

An absolute must when visiting Iceland. We drove 225km (around 3hrs) from Skogafoss and it was so worth it. As we drove towards the bridge, we couldn't believe our eyes as huge ice bergs floated on the water. There is a charge to park and once on the beach we were amazed at the size and number of the "diamonds". It really is a spectacle. You can walk amongst the icebergs right upto the waters edge, but be careful as the waves can catch you off guard especially if you are taking photographs. We were very lucky with the weather and although windy and cold, for most of the time it was dry and sunny. A 5-10 minute walk takes you to the lagoon where there is a shop and toilets.

We were very happy when we arrived to find “diamonds “on the beach. The report from the day before had said that there was barely anything on the beach. But it changes every day. It’s very cool to see the specific shapes that are created when these chunks fall off the icebergs

A very dramatic spot. There weren't many icebergs on the beach when we went, and it was pouring with rain and very windy, which diminished the experience somewhat, but it was still great for some impressive photos. The only thing to do here is walk on the beach, which limits the amount of time you'll spend hree if the weather isn;t cooperating!

Diamond Beach is located in Waterna Glacier National Park on the south coast of Iceland
This area has a diverse geological landscape including glaciers, mountains, rivers and volcanoes
It is also home to many wildlife species
I heard you'd see a sea leopard
Attractions about 370 km from Rye Capital
About 4-5 hours drive
Basically after playing the winter limited activities Blue Ice Hole
The next trip can be arranged on nearby diamond sand beach and the Jekyllsárlón glacier lake
Both attractions are nearby Very close
Diamonds on the beach after the Wattner Glacier melted
Large and small ice sheets from the adjacent glacier lake Jökulsárlón are taken to sea smoothly
again by the waves to the shore
Looking around like a huge diamond nestled in a black sand beach
So not an artificial attraction is a beautiful black sand beach with natural ice breaks
Can not rush the sunrise can also be divided at sunset

Breiðamerkursandur, the real name for Diamond Beach located just 500m away from Jökulsárlón (opposite of the road and lagoon). Here you can see the icebergs from the lagoon drifted into the sea and some are wash up on the shore. The crystal-clear smaller ice blocks are sculpted by waves and glitter in the sun, make it looked and resembled diamond. The black sand and low-lying sun (it was at 2.30PM) make the view more interesting.

Expected more as I had seen beautiful photos. Unfortunately there were very few ice chunks on the beach and even in the lagoon hardly anything floated around. It's too bad.

Amazing.
After leaving the car park we approached the coast and there we saw the pieces of ice of all sizes, some still huge inside the water.
Then we went up by the river and saw other larger pieces. At the end of the road there is another car park and they offer boat trips.
We could see some ducks and sea lions that seemed to stalk the.

Jako że niedaleko macie cmentarzysko gór lodowych , to plaża przy ujściu Jokulsarlon jest usiana wielkimi bryłami lodu. Czarna plaża , a na niej przezroczyste bryły lodu lśniące jak wielkie diamentowe kryształy. Parking 200 ISK obejmuje w sumie trzy parkingi po obu stronach drogi , zarówno od strony Jokulsarlon , jak i plaży. Kamera sczytuje wasze tablice rejestracyjne i płacicie w parkomacie.

What's best low or high tide?
When is best time to see the bigger parts of glacier on the beach? high or low tide? We are going in September. Can't wait to visit. I've planned a lot of our trip around going here. So kinda want to make the most of it. We will be staying 1 night nearby so we can hopefully be here at the right time of the day/evening.
