What an incredible venue. Our first visit but we have already booked two more visits for 2023. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Venue itself is not large, but a perfect size that even the back rows of the theatre are fantastic. Such a variety of performances coming up to ensure we will be back time and time again. Thoroughly recommended.

Not to be compared with major city venues but it gives Noosa locals and tourists an opportunity to see some wonderful events - love the Noosa Alive shows every July. - an amazing range of theatrical and musical events - the quality could easily equal what you see in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Saw a few Noosa Alive events but a special one was Michaela Burger in a Migrants Son, a very moving and personal account of a migrants family.

Not a classical or stylish theatre like Orpheum, Palace and Kino but a very functional and practical small local theatre. During any year, it hosts a variety of cinema, musicals, drama etc. and does it very well.
Have just seen a number of movies at the Noosa International Film Festival and it was an ideal location bringing such movies to the regional community.

On one hand, just a small local theatre but on the other; they have an amazing range of theatrical and musical events - the quality could easily equal what you see in major capital cities.
Saw the Noosa Alive opening event with the Queensland Ballet and it was such a memorable performance watching the young talent.
They have come a long way in the past 5 years and Noosa was so fortunate to attract them to the coast - listening to Li Cunxin talk about their shared vision was a fantastic experience

This is Noosa's only true full scale performance venue where visiting top class acts, plays, concerts and local productions can take place. There is almost always something being staged, whether the latest David Williamson play, as I saw in March, or the incredible performances by guest artists at the annual NoosaAlive! when every show there is a sell out. Not many options for theatre or musicals on the Sunshine Coast so this fills a valuable role. Not huge nor a theatre in the style of major cities but much valued nonetheless. At the same time, its smallness watching a play like David Williamson's new "Sorting Out Rachel" added to the intimacy and experience.

The J is a fantastic local venue featuring a variety of entertainment. I have seen Jimeon & several short film festivals. There is flat level seating for several rows & then tiered seating at the back, my preference is to be close to the front. The J features a lovely outdoor courtyard for pre show & intervals & drinks are available for purchase from the bar. You can then enjoy the many Noosa Junction eateries after the show.

Regularly attend shows here which never lack for the theatres acoustics or vision. Whether an individual ( Mike McClelland ) or a music/dance troup ( Keyim Ba ) we have come away with positive vibes.

It's fortunate for Noosa locals to have such a facility that can do theatre on either a small scale or large scale. Productions such as Chicago have been put on with great effect and success and it's the major venues for events such as Noosa Alive.
The seats can vary - there is a combination of either flat seating or further back, there is a tiered effect for better viewing.
I'd suggest either the first couple of seats for closer connection or the tiered section for better visuals.
There is a bar that opens before the show and at intermission and it's a great environment to share with friends.
Occasionally there are some shows like the Josephine Baker and Marlene Dietrich tribute shows that are better suited to a cabaret atmosphere but then performers like Naomi Price in Lady Beatle show it to its best effect and just command the stage and theatre.
