So wanted to love this cruise but we came away feeling expectations weren't fully met. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t everything we believed it was going to be, especially given costs, marketing and previous reviews.
Positives:
* Food was excellent
* Bathroom and bathtub had stunning view
* Balcony was fantastic
* Staff were attentive
Negatives:
* Felt very rushed, especially day 2 - I can see why people do 2 nights to avoid this and have some more down time on the boat, but this was beyond our budget.
* Room wasn’t as luxurious as I hoped - cracks in walls, painting on wall looked dated, minibar was broken and removed but no offer of replacement until we requested (replacement was a bucket of ice), bed missing decorative bed runner
* Partner missed out on welcome drink on arrival - they realised they were one short but just walked off and didn’t return with one. It's not a big deal, but also, not a great way to start the cruise.
* Wine was insanely expensive given average quality
* Offensive odour from frothy substance in water every now and then when boat was anchored - have no idea what this was
Unfortunately we were also in room next to engine, so was quite noisy and could smell
fumes when engine was running.
The bays are beautiful but heavily used and rubbish/pollution unfortunately is present. Wondering if it was particularly bad as it was low tide.
We were in Vietnam for 3 weeks and this was probably the experience we felt a little disappointed by. Maybe we’re just not cruise people, as I know many love it, but there were also some under par elements, given it’s a 5 star boat.
Positives:
* Food was excellent

Các bạn phục vụ trên tàu tên GIN, LOUIS, SUZIE, AMY, JACK, LUCAS, JESS phuc tuyệt vời, chu đáo, phục vu khách rất chuyên nghiệp, Tôi rất hài lòng sự phục vụ của các anh, em trên tau. Hen gặp lại.

Louis (Truong) is so kind and passionate about his customers. We were taken care of like nowhere else before. The room was just amazing, comfortable and the views were fantastic. Recommend this trip to anyone.

A fantastic cruise. The scenery was incredible. The boat was excellent - very well appointed and very clean. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and attentive. In particular our table waiter Louis who was always present to help us at the table and assist with our chairs and serving. Louis was outstanding- warm, kind and particularly helpful for me with dietary needs- anticipating and advising me. I would definitely recommend this cruise.

This was a fantastic cruise of Ha Long Bay. We had wonderful experiences, day trips and beautiful food. Best of all was the service from the staff in particular Thomas and Johnny who went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after and had a great time.

Had a great experience with the trip and the crew. Activities were fun. Food was good. Dinner was surprisingly good. Had contemporary Vietnamese food. Never had anything like it before but still a familiar Vietnamese taste. Our staff Jack and Suzie, were especially helpful and Sweet. I asked for hot sauce at lunch and Jack had already put hot sauce on my table for the next meal. Very sweet and attentive.

This was my first time in Ha long bay. My boyfriend booked a cruise through orchid trendy.
Room had a fantastic view of the bay. However, we spent the most time on the sun deck. We had alcohol and watched the sun set.
Highlight of the trip was the staff. Jack was our server. He’s sweet and attentive.During lunch, my boyfriend asked for sriracha and he brought it to him. When dinner came around, he had the sriracha ready…
We will return for sure and will recommend this cruise line to our friends.

We highly recommend this cruise. The staff are amazing. Eric and Thomas were both great in the restaurant. The chef was very accommodating for food options.
The rooms were very comfortable and we had a nice balcony. The activities were also enjoyable. You won’t be disappointed.

The tour of Ha Long bay was excellent. Very smooth sailing and The crew took really good care of us and were very patient with our two year old. Thomas in particular was very attentive. Food was great

On Orchid cruise 2 they serve vegetarian, if you ask the cruise manager.

Like most cruises, bringing your own alcohol is not permitted, except consumed in your private cabin. I might add also that drink prices are quite high.

They say it’s all inclusive...but what is the fine print that is not included? Is there a bottled water per day limit? Liquor limit?

This was an amazing cruise. Staff are fantastic. Water is provided in the room... 2 bottles. We bought our own soft drinks for the duration of the cruise. We always bought alcohol when it was happy hour to keep cost low. I also decanter my water bottle, filled it with my favourite gin and snuck it onboard😊... from recollection water and standard coffee, tea is included. All other drinks with meal you have to pay for
The locals selling snacks and drinks via their own rowing boats can be expensive. You will need to negotiate

We’re booked on the 3 day/2 night cruise, yet I cannot find the 3 day itinerary map, only the 2 day version. Does this cruise anchor just the one time or do we overnight in a few different areas?

Halong Bay is a beautiful area and all the boats tend to anchor in similar places but it would not be detrimental to your overall experience. The difference between one and two nights seemed to be that a tender takes the one nighters back to the mainland port whilst the two nighters enjoy their second day of activities. You’ll enjoy it - the food and service was exemplary. Hope that helps you.

We enjoyed it all. The only thing we didn’t do was the kayak on the last morning. We wanted to chill in our lovely cabin and enjoy the views from our balcony

Hi, we have booked a 2day 1 night cruise with you in December this year. We are planning to come previous day to Halong and spend the night in a hotel. So thought it would be best to book a hotel closer to your private cruise lounge. Can you please tell me where exactly is your private cruise lounge at Got Ferry? I'm a bit confused with the places that comes up when googled! Thank you in advance

Hi can’t remember much in the way of any accommodation near Got terminal. We stayed in Hanoi and used the Azalea cruise transfer bus which was very efficient
