There is an MRT station of the same name, so it is right outside. It is a conveniently located civic park, and in one corner there is an art space called Shiroichi Koro. Even at night, children are taken by their parents to play with playground equipment, and I feel good about security.

Convenient location - beside Central Park Station. Oasis in the city. Comfortable place to walk around. Many locals did exercises or walking. Some interesting sculptures and beautiful lake.

This park is directly connected to the station and is quite large.
There are lots of squirrels in the banyan trees.
There is also a cool bird of prey (species and name unknown). When the bird of prey flew towards the squirrel, the squirrel started to chirp. I thought, "Wow, squirrels chirp!"
This is another park I'd like to stop by when I visit Kaohsiung.

It's a nice busy little park in the center of town. Sometimes little festivals there. The western bar that was in the park a few years ago is gone, but there is some coffee shop in the southwest corner now. The park is right by the north-south MRT and across from a little Harajuku-type shopping area. Although the east-west MRT line is one stop a few blocks north. In the past it would probably have been just a so-so park; best part now is, like the majority of Taiwan it's still actually a place normal people and family's can go without suffering drugs, trash/pollution, homeless, and violence unlike in what western cities and parks have been turned into. The slight air pollution is a con sometimes but most of inhabited Taiwan is the same, and its much less than most of Asia.

The drought has taken a toll here, with most of the grass dead. Still you can get an idea of the value of this park, with the water features, sculpture, picnics, band practice and walking that is still going on here. It is close to metro stations and there are some food shops nearby.

I did not have a chance to visit during the day but enjoyed the walk through the park during the evening.
It was well lit, had well maintained paths but not many visitors seen. Closer to the lake were couples, some homeless people (with their own whole body bug netting), and some exercisers.
A few large banyan (?) trees made for good photo backdrops, some statues and artworks were scattered around.
The park can be reached via the Central Park MRT station. Here a small crowd was gathered to listen to a four boy band group sing.

We came here in the morning to get some exercise and took the MRT to Central Park Station. The park itself is well kept and spacious and we saw many locals having morning walks or doing exercises. Some were line dancing. We also came in the evening and this park was also popular then.

世界の美しい地下鉄の駅にランキングされているMRTの駅を出てすぐの公園です。駅を出ると長いエスカレーターと滝が現れます。駅と公園の間には噴水があり涼しい気持ちになれます。観光に歩き疲れた時の休憩にもいいと思います。

MRT中央公園駅のエスカレーターを上がっていくと、そのまま公園の中に着きました。街中にあるので平坦な公園ですが、とにかく広いです。木々も多く配され、気分転換にはいいところでした。

The park is hosting some light shows in the holiday season for the public to enjoy. Not very crowded though lots of people - it is quite an experience roaming in the dark with music and varied light pattern in different parts.

来月高雄に行きます。時間があるので中央公園でノンビリ過ごしたいと考えています。
その際芝生広場でレジャーシート広げて飲食(軽食、ビール等)をしたいと考えています。
この場所はこのような事が出来る雰囲気なのでしょうか？
もし駄目ならばその他に出来る場所はありますでしょうか？
MRT三多商圏駅付近に滞在しますので、その付近にあれば助かります。
