The crew members were really helpful and supportive thuru out the journey....it was really interesting with experienced crew members... had a closer look at the dolphins and whale...my kid loved it though she had seasickness... Worth the money...

You just see whales from afar, if you’re lucky
No binoculars to see them

Thank you very much for your review. I am really sorry if you experienced any bad thing on the boat.
Please note that as we are the pioneers in this industry who has 17th year experience, we follows international code of conduct for responsible Whale watching. So, we never go speed towards animals. If you have free time, please take your time to go through our website to see our code of conduct. So, you will understand that we can't disturb to animal's freedom.
We are not giving binoculars as we don't have enough to cover each & every passenger onboard. If we give binoculars we should have enough number of them to all passengers onboard.
One of our crew member gives information about the animal on the way back to every passengers. I think you have missed it. However I apologies if you feel any bad experience.

Das war nix. Wir haben zwar kurz Wale gesehen, allerdings war das Drumherum ziemlich schlecht. Für diesen übertriebenen Preis hätten wir uns ein paar Informationen zu den Walen gewünscht, ein ordentliches Frühstück etc. . Stattdessen wurde quasi überhaupt nicht gesprochen. Das „Frische Frühstück“ war ein Witz. Und wir hatten das langsamste Boot von allen…

Thanks for your feedback. I apologies if you feel any bad experience with us. The only issue is we can't accept your words regarding Fresh Breakfast. I don't know why you said so. Because we are freshly making breakfast on the boat and we are the only one operator who makes the breakfast on the boat.

Had a great experience. Very smooth operation, worked hard to make sure people were satisfied and also kept a safe respectful distance from the whales. Saw a Bryde whale and many dolphins. Were also punctual and very helpful.

Best team. Great experience. We spotted a few bryde's whale. The crew had 4 to 5 people on board and they were always on the lookout and keep telling the guests where to see and what to expect.

Unforgettable memory in our lifetime!!
We chose this company after we read the review of them. They are really experienced crew. They did their job very well. We saw brydes whale, turtles, Mantaray and some Dolphins. They do not disturb to the animals. They do it responsible way. Highly Appreciated and recommended!! Thank you!!

We had an amazing tour with mirissa Water Sports team. They are really nice crew. They are well-experienced. They served us delicious fresh breakfast which has made on the boat. Also, other refreshments as well. The tour took around 4 hours. We saw Brydes whale, some dolphins, Mantaray and turtles. Highly recommended!

We took the whale watching boat trip. After spending 5 hrs on the boat, we saw dolphins but no whales. The boat is great as it only accommodates a small group of people so there’s lots of open viewing area. Some of the other boats had a lot more seats and people and seemed a lot more crowded than this company’s boat. They served snacks on the boat too. The crew was great and tried their best to find the whales. However, sitting for 5 hours on a boat was very tiresome. Most people fell asleep and took naps. They really need to make it no more than 3 hours of whale watching, whether they find whales or not. Taking 5 hrs to just ride a boat on somewhat choppy waters is a waste of time.

Fabulous whale watching trip.
The crew were very knowledgeable and informative. Nice snacks provided given the early start.
Good value for a private speedboat trip which we’d really recommend.

My Husband & I were at Whales watching tour on 26th Jan 2023. Eventhogh we were unlucky to see the Whales on our journey, overall the experience was amaizing. It was a blessed to see a pod of playful cute dolphins was guiding the boat & 2 turtles which was a amazing experience. Loved the service on board - the staff was super helpful & we had a lovely breakfast there too. Totally recommended the experience. Thank you Chandi & the team for the safe & wonderful sail.

And it might be advisable to pre-book! That’s what we did although the boat was not full in the day we went, but you never know.

Hi, how much are the private tours for whale watching, would it be shared with others? As there is only 2 of us, but we would rather be on a smaller boat than with a large group. Is it better to go around 25th November or around 9th December? Thank you!

Hi i would like to take family out to see the whales on 26 Dec and want to charter our own boat.
As we are staying closer to Galle and have young children it would be good if we could leave closer to 8am than 7am. Is this possible?

We didn't go snorkelling, but it might be worth asking Mirissa Watersports for their advice as the quality of their whale watching tour was excellent, so hopefully they can help you find good snorkelling too!
