This tour was outstanding and I’m so happy we stumbled upon it. Marco provided so much insight to the region and winemaking process; it was something special to hear from someone who has done this their whole life.
Aside from visiting several excellent wineries and hearing from their owners, the views of the region during the drives in between cannot be beat. Every person involved was passionate and knowledgeable and I would do this exact tour again knowing there would be more still to learn.

A very personal tour with a knowledgeable host. Everything was perfect, the views, the wines, the atmosphere and even the time schedule felt relaxed and planned out. We would recommend this wine tour to everyone who is visiting the area.

Literally a perfect day! This tour is DEFINITELY the one you seek. Angelina has a depth of knowledge second to none, a true connection to the land, and was an absolute joy to be around. The tastings were amazing. The views were breathtaking. I would give this experience 100 stars if I could. If you want to learn about the wine, people and culture of the region, take this tour.

We spent a total of 10 days in Italy to kick off our honeymoon. We had done other tasting days prior to our day with Marco and wow, this was one of our favorites! Marco picked us up at our Air Bnb and immediately we hit it off. His knowledge of the Barolo/Barbaresco regions was second to none from vineyards and farming to the wines themselves. My wife and I were both visiting from the Napa Valley and we both work in hospitality and this experience was definitely a highlight of our trip! His winery as well, Cascina Galina, was one of our favorites and we bought a lot of wine and are having it shipped back. If you are looking for a really fun and informative private experience, I highly recommend booking a day with Marco; you will not be disappointed! However, you may need to invest in another wine fridge or wine rack just for the wines you will be tasting with Marco! Thank you Marco for a memorable experience!

I’ve never been speechless when it comes to writing reviews, but honestly it was that good! It was the best wine tour we’ve ever had, and we’ve been fortunate to do a lot of wine tours across the world! We love to check out wineries & do tours everywhere we go.
From day 1 of searching for wine tours around the Barolo/Barbaresco region, Marco at Langa Wine Tours stood out amongst everyone else. He was quick to respond (even with the time difference) and very informative. He was flexible with our requests and able to provide us with helpful suggestions. Marco kept in touch with us up to the day of the tour (even after), which is very re-assuring when booking tours months out in a country you’re unfamiliar with. I say that this is the best wine tour we’ve ever had because Marco brought a new perspective to the tour, being a winemaker himself. It’s unmatched to any other tour we’ve ever done. He was so passionate and willing to explain/show/answer all of our questions about wine (and non wine topics).
Highly, highly recommend. One of our favorite tours we did during our trip to Italy. Also, the wine was incredible!

Excellent!! Personal and very informative. We learned so much. We had an excellent tour and stopped for an amazing lunch. We tasted plenty of wines and the tastings were tailored to our interests. Highly recommend.

Our tour started with a view of the entire valley. Marco was able to point out all the different wineries and describe the famous grapes grown here. This intro helped me understand what makes these Italian wines unique. We visited small, organic, family owned wineries where I was able to see how the wine is harvested and the art of making a great vintage based on the crop from that year. I had no idea how many elements go into making a good wine. We also shared a delicious, piedmont style lunch in a small town on our route. And had the chance to see some stunning views of the countryside. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants an experience you will never forget.

Our tour started out with a view of the entire valley. Marco was able to point out all the regions, the well-known wineries and explain the types of grapes used. That lesson helped me understand what I was seeing and tasting the rest of the day. Later I learned not only how wine is made but also how the winemaker can influence the quality and taste of any vintage. I never knew winemaking was such an art and how wine is really a living thing. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants a unforgettable experience.

We had a fantastic day with Marco. Because of his experience as a wine maker and owner of a family winery, he is able to explain in detail all of the elements of the wine industry in the Langhe region, from growing the grapes, the wine making process, and the history and significance of the different appellations. Because of his broad knowledge and experience, he can pitch his tour at whatever level you need, so his tour would be informative and enjoyable regardless of your knowledge of wine. The wineries that we visited and the wines we tasted were all fantastic. Marco is also friendly and accommodating, for example by picking us up and dropping us off where we needed, and by helping us with shipping the wine that we bought (without any pressure to buy at any of the wineries). Thanks very much Marco!
