‪What a fantastic tour!‬

‪We had a short stay in the Barolo region & stayed in La Morra during the very quiet off-season, when most local businesses are closed for their winter break.
We contacted Taste of Life Tours to gauge the possibility of a day tour at quite late notice.
Both Rob & Sara were both super responsive and accommodating, considering how quiet the region was in February.

Sara arranged a wonderful day trip complete with village tours to explain the history of the region, a fantastic lunch at a local trattoria in a small village with fresh local produce and wine, and visits to two amazing family-owned vineyards. We were lucky enough to have a tour and personalised tasting with the owner/winemaker.

Spectacular scenery, incredible wines, and a fabulous tour guide!
Thanks so much Sara, we would not hesitate to book another tour next time we’re in the region.‬

‪Perfect Day With Sara‬

‪We used Taste of Life Tours for our trip to Barolo wine country. From the start when I reached out and Sara responded I knew she would be a great fit for us. There were four of us traveling and staying in Turin and wanted to lean about the region and specifically Barolo wines. Sara recommended we take the train to Bra (which we did) and she would pick us up. We opted for a private tour which was well worth the money. Taste of Life Tours also made it quick, easy and secure to book online. We had a memorable day wine Sara learning about Barolo “ the king of wines and the wine of kings”. We opted to visit one winery in the morning and wanted to visit a local castle in the afternoon. Our lunch at Osteria la Torre in Sara’s hometown was the most memorable meal we had in the two weeks we were in Italy. The chef Marco created a smorgasbord of his favorite dishes and personally served them to us. The food was excellent but having Marco create a menu for us was an honor and did I mention the wine. Our day was full of regional facts and plenty of laughs, Sara is informative and overall fun to be around. She also discussed life in the Piedmont region, providing several history lessons of the area and her love of wine. All in all the perfect day with the perfect tour guide. Sara Thank You for being part of our 40th Wedding Anniversary trip to Italy, Shawn, Brenda, Michael and I think you are WICKED AWESOME!!!‬

‪A total immersion of the all the senses and the Piedmontes life. If you are looking for an amazing gastronomic/wine experience and the underground story of how the locals made this come to be,then you must spend time with Rob who will find you many delights in places you don't even know to look. A foodies fantasy.‬

‪One day wine tour with Sara - memorable!‬

‪We had a day to remember with Sara. At her suggestion, we visited two wineries, one mainly known for its Barolo and the other for Barbaresco. In both places we were met with personable, highly informative reps of the establishments. The wines were excellent and so was the conversation. We started off with a wander through up to a medieval castle in a charming village and, In between wineries, we had a delightful lunch on a terrace overlooking vineyards. As the result of conversation along the way, Sara also set up for us a unique experience for the following day, a scent "tasting" at a artisanal home scent maker in Cherasco. Sara herself is full of knowledge and stories about the region, but we also felt we got to know her, and she us, on a personal level as well. This was an experience we will never forget!‬

‪Great wine tour with Sara‬

‪We spent a great day touring wineries with Sara. She was an awesome guide and as our tour was private, we were able to make wishes concerning the visited wineries and in addition we had a fabulous lunch as well as some time to stroll in the nearby villages. Sara also give us perfect tips for dinner places and even booked us a table and taxi. Thus we warmly recommend the wine tour with Sara and will definitely come back!!‬

‪Sara is wonderful‬

‪Spent 2 days in Piedmonte with 5 couples and Sara. Every detail of the 2 days including the winery's, the lunches, the truffle hunt and the villages visited were great. Sara also made suggestions and helped me with plans outside of the tour. She was fantastic and a day or two spent with Sara will be worthwhile and a great time for those with discerning taste.‬

‪Wonderful day in Barolo‬

‪We had an amazing day with Sara as she took us to a couple of great wineries and also a brilliant restaurant for lunch. She chose an exceptional bottle of wine to go with the meal - definitely hand the wine list over to her. It was also very easy with everything being included in the price.

Sara was very good with creating a great itinerary that focused on high quality wineries, and having plenty of time to relax and enjoy. On the day, she was really responsive to how we like to travel. We also had the chance to walk around a few of the historic towns and see some beautiful towns. It was a really, really fun day.

We couldn’t wish for a higher quality nor a more fun experience. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to have a brilliant Barolo day. ‬

‪Day in the Vines‬

‪We had a fantastic day with Sara! We visited 2 wineries, one in Barolo and one in Barbaresco, ate at the wonderful Ristorante Rabaya and enjoyed coffee on its terrace , and rounded out the day with gelato and treats with the owner of Converso in Bra. Sara was so knowledgeable about the region and so fun to talk with. Unbelievable experience. We will recommend Taste of Life and Sara to anyone going anywhere near Piedmont! Happy 2019 touring season kickoff from the (other) Barolo Boys! ‬

‪Revisiting wine and food heaven‬

‪My wife and I are both wine lovers. We have toured most of the well known wine producing regions of the world. This year's and the last are the ones we enjoyed the most.
We travelled in late September with Rob again this year for the Slow Cook Festival with addition of Lake Como tour and the Bernina Express train ride that took us from Valtellina up to St. Moritz, Switzerland.
As always, Rob has such knowledge of the wines and the food of the area that without him we would not have experienced the excellent restaurants, winery visits and specilties to try from the region. We loaded up on cheeses and chocolates to take home. Rob has excellent connections with the wine industry. We were able to visit wineries that we tried to contact without success prior to Rob's tour.
We ate at restaurants witth great food and with great scenery.
The cooking classes was both informative and such great fun. We didn't realize we can cook too. LOL
Rob: once again, thank you very much for your excellent tour.‬

‪Barolo Winery & Truffle Hunt Magnificent Day‬

‪Magical Day with Sara from Taste of life Tours
yesterday. Sara made us feel so special and went out of her way to make our day Superb.
Our group of 4 experienced 2 Barolo Winery tastings and magnificent lunch at authentic Italian Ristorante. The Truffle hunt with The Master and his dogs was very successful and so so fascinating to experience. Thank you Sara so much . Margaret & Brian
